I'm thinking of pulling the trigger. I only grow 1 or 2 plants at a time. I'm thinking of going up to the 450 just in case I decide to do 3 or 4. It's only about a 50 dollar difference, plus the 450 has the veg/flower switches on it. That alone would be worth it to me.
Your thoughts?

I'll go cob eventually. For now and for my own purposes the spectra does just fine. This is my first go and I have 4 plants in a perpetual set up. For 2 you will be fine with the 300 but I wish I had bought the 450 in my situation.

Sort of my thought. It'd be just my luck I like the 300 so much I decide to do a larger grow or scrog and have to either buy another one or upgrade. Thanks for the input.

They do run hot in a small area so ventilation is necessary. That's the only place I've been getting fucked. Too dry where I'm at

How many grows have you done with your 300? What kind of yield did you get?

Also, it's $89, not $307. Show me your $89 build.
But guaranteed, this is bullpucky:

So the entire LED field is bogus? I mean, that's been the entire premise of LED: producing an equal amount of light for a fraction of the amount of power.
If what you say is true, then the entire LED and Compact Florescent industries are lying.

Or maybe just a few are to steal on a corner of the market? Folks like Mars Hydro, for example, exaggerate both their output claims and their prices. They're far too expensive for what they put out. Performance of new technologies is easier to obfuscate, especially in a niche market with eager buyers. Not many people are dropping $500 on a panel just to open it up and look at driver efficiency, diodes etc, so who knows whats really in there and what it does?
Unlike HID/HPS nobody can stand up these claims with 100% accuracy, and so the fibs persist. Just my 2p anyways.

That's odd. Very odd. Because on just about ever single website related to lighting for Marijuana, the ViparSectra brand is in the top 10 recommended lights.
Odd how you two know something that nobody else in the entire marijuana community seems to know...and at the very same time say the LED industry is completely bogus while running LED lights.

But funny thing is everyone could build one they just have to man up and not be afraid of failure. If they can't read or write then I'd have to agree with you but that's not the case.

I'll be honest I looked at ViparSpectra. And I stopped when I read ample reviews from lots and lots of users. Some were happy (new growers mostly), and plenty others were unimpressed or let down.
LED is the leading technology, blurple panels are not. Look around you, friend.
