HI
the photos below show photos of the clones I started 14 days ago. Why am I getting yellow bulbs instead of roots? I followed the instructions of many clone videos and threads on the web:

Solution:
No DAmp : 10ml/4l water
Hydrogen peroxide2 drops / 4l water
Superthrive 2 drop /4l

Procedure:
took a bunck of shoots cut with sterilised razor at 45degree. Dipped into rooting Gel and placed in Gordan soaked rockwool. Placed in Mondi Humidity Dome over a heat pad (29-32 degrees) under two 25 w 18/6 cfl lights

I also sprayed with water 1 or 2 times a day. Clones are in both rockwool and jiffy. So am I doing ok? How long more before roots look like roots?

Please feel free to point out your opinion nomatter howexperienced you are.

THanks

i dunno my clones would have roots running a foot long if i left them in for 2 weeks
abort and reclone, skip the superthrive and h202.....perhaps the peroxide and the rooting hormone reacted hahaha. ive done over 2-3 hundred clones in the past year.....never seen anything like that.....I clone in water though.......but still......that doesnt look right..

:(((((
I cant reclone as I sent my motrher plant into bloom.
I am stuck with these clones for now.
IS there a way to correct the situation and make them root?
U see, I have 1-2 drops of h2o2 and 1-2 drops of Superthrive. Do you really think they are the culprit?

Maybe all cut the bottom and reapply rooting and go for another 10 days.

Any help is appreciated as I ll wait another few days to see if there is any feedback. Thank you fuzzywuzzy for letting me know the situation.

Wow that's freaky. Looks to be fungal maybe??? There seems to be some fine root hairs at the top of that one pic...or is that rockwool strands? I'd back off on the water spray and crack the dome open and let it dehumidify a little and see what happens.

Jiffy's are shit IMO. The stay too wet too long in a dome.

are you using a heat mat under your clone box it helps keep em warm and produces more condensation

Guys this is my first clone experience and so I have nothing to compare things to. Since I do not have a source of clones any more, I am still going on with this. Initially I thought the bulb is the base of the roots but now it seems that it is not. If nothing pans out in the next week, Ill cut the base of the clones again and try to re-root the same shoots.

To respond to one of you, I had the heat mat under the clone dome all the way and in fact I wonder if that was the problem. Outside temps are 27-29 C(80.6-84.2 F) and inside it would reach 32-35 C(89.6-95 F) at times. Its a shame that I cant get the AC going as I am worried about peaking my electricity bill and drawing heat from the fashist authorities.

ANyways.. Ill post pics to the end of process.

Again thanks for all your comments.

It seems that the tumor looking thing was beginning of the rooting process. However the heat mat + summer heat brought the temps to high and cuased root damage. Since roots do not regenerate nad new ones just grow on the side, I cut the base of the clones again, applied rooting hormone and placed 3 in water, 3 in soil and the remaining in rock wool. I am hoping that it will re-root.

Ill update with photos once/if something positive occurs.
