I think it's more a matter of the difficulty of proving that Trump is abusing his campaign funds. First must to prove overcharging, then prove intent and so forth. Trump has so many conflicts of interest, lies and fraud on his head that this is small potatoes, IMO.
Trump's supporters don't care anyway. They'd be up in arms if this were investigated.
Still, this stinks and give the appearance of corruption even if nothing happens on the legal side.
