How much led wattage is enough shit is so confusing.. say i wanted to grow 3 girls into monsters in my 3x3 veg tent how many watts for led light

I can tell you if "monster's is what your after I'd keep it to two plants. A 315 CMH will kill it for this. But you could also kill it with a square COB frame and 4 CXB3590's or Vero 29's pumping out 80 watts or so each for a total of 320 there abouts..............
You want the monsters to have room to stretch and to have good airflow to prevent PM............
Here was one of my monsters last run when I threw her into flower, the buds creeping over are from my first run ever which was a NL that yielded me a 1.2 lb under the 315 CMH.............
I'm no pro and don't pretend to be, I'm a new grower offering you my point of view to show you if I can do you most certainly can too. Good luck, and as always this is just my $0.02 based on what I know and have experience with so far. I have a lot to learn still so doesn't mean my ways would be the best ways, but these are just the ways I know would work. Your mileage may vary.

Google mars hydro. They have a light for under 200 that would prolly grow 3 plants.
They have more expensive ones that would most def cover 3 plants.

Mars Hydro do not work well in flower and are only okay in veg I would get an 8 bulb T5 before I bought another Mars Hydro.

I am debating on a 315 W LEC myself. I may buy the conversion kit (dig ballast and plug adaptor) for $167 + Philips LEC bulb for $79 and a parabolic reflector where the bulb points down for $45.

Plenty of people grow good bud with Mars Hydro. Sure you can't stuff 10 plants under it. But still.
