Spent PF Tek cakes

I think I remember reading about someone using their spent PF Tek cakes by cooking with water as if making tea. Does anyone know if this works?

Mix the result with actual tea bags, juice, or kool aid. Try that.

I have 18 cakes and finally realized that doing them all at once is insane. I think I'll freeze the cakes and use one at a time and make tea with the water.
I usually make tea when I have shrooms- easiest way I've found to take them.

You need to freeze them, just dry them
