I think part of the problem of the real GG4 vs fake was that Gg4 was the main culprit in the dudding epidemic. I think some people's cut probably dudded and they thought it was a bunk cut.
I had a gg4 cut dud on me and thought it wasnt legit, but initial growth and first 3 weeks of flower looked identical with everyones legit cuts...then the frost stopped coming and smell dissipated and all the branches would snap cleanly off at the slightest bend. Then I started reading about it and hearing other people who got the cut from different sources say the same thing.

I believe someone said it was some kind of stem nematode responsible. I stopped growing her because I had rarer stuff, and I figured it was so common I would get her back eventually.

GG4 is so widely circulated damn near everyone is growing it. It would probably the last cut that I would suspect being fake, but there are some good s1's that look just as dank if not better than the original.

It also shows up pretty dominant in crosses from my experience.

No doubt, I'm sure they both are the same cut. I've grown seedpac cut but seedpac didn't make the cut. They got it from someone just like everyone else. Seedpac doesn't have fake nothing, most reliable, and genuine people around. That's a fact.

You gave them a crappy grow environment and they repaid you in kind or rather lack thereof.

They don't have a 200+ page thread on IC filled with posts from some of the most reputable growers in the community because they all don't know how to grow a plant.
Dudding is a known issue with the Glue, as well as sour Dubb which is its mother.

Its common nowadays, but I've been burnt by what was supposed to be GG4, but ended up being a hybrid. It totally shows the distorted leaf/twist/tuck. But you cant go by that.

I gave away my S1 GG4, and I just rock a clone from a known nursery.

Run it for 60 days. Anything more is just better flush time

I don't think she really packs on much more weight after 60 days like Dom cultivars do but the terps and flavor will change the longer you run her. 70+ days will bring more of the Chocolate Diesel out in her instead of smelling like Chem and Diesel so much

Interesting.. I run a GG4 hybrid, Loctite, and it has the chocolate notes (smells more like tootsie roll to me) that you mention when going after long ripen times. Totally got me confused because I was running it next to GSC. (thought it was GSC with the the chocolate smell..) It bulks and fills out more evenly, at 70 days. I got a GG4 thats going into the perpetual sog, so I'm curious to see how that turns out. I would be motivated to run it at 70 days just to bring that aroma out.

Yea my runs with it after 60 days it's done growing pistils so no swelling after that but they high and terps change. Yea lots of people run GG4 to 70+ days so it's all preference but most 58-63 days. I like the chemmy diesel myself
