Does anyone use kindsoil? If so, how do you use it? Do you mix it with a soil? Do you use it as a base at the bottom of your pots? Or do you just use straight up kindsoil? Let me know I'm interested in what people have to say.

They give a detailed description on how to use it...they also don't understand how plant roots work based on how they want you to use the product. If you don't want to make your own soil I recommend buildasoil.com

I don't know if they know what they're talking about but this soil is pretty legit. I've used it several times 1:1 ratio with no plant food and in 3 months I have a 3ft plant that's ready to harvest
 
I considered trying that Kind soil but I went with making my own compost pile. In the meantime I bought some ingredients locally and did a quick compost which harvested well, no nutrients needed. Since then I have composted supersoil I've made and also I am prepared to capture all my leaves, I've been saving up grass and soon I will have more than I need. By the way I do it exactly like the kind soil description. about 1/3rd layer on bottom but I have large perelite at the very bottom it floats up over time. Like he said don't go cold, don't water until run off and in the end my roots are just starting to invade the lower section. But anyway the microherd moves the nutrients around just don't wash them out the bottom

Rasta Roy am I messing something up I am unable to detect? (serious here not trying to be a smart mouth)

What exactly do you mean by dont water until run off??
 
Don't buy it. Seriously, just look into building your own soil. I bought it last year and the results were OK but my plants quickly fed on it and I had to feed nutrients about 3 weeks into flower. Smelled a mixture of shit and vinegar too, lingered for weeks.

Sure you did it right?? I've used it like 4 times with great results.

I used it exactly as the instructions told me to, ive seen people get better results than me so I'm not saying it won't work, it's just not a very good option.. The bud that came out was great but I've gotten better results from just using my own soil mix and topdressing as needed along with AACT/SST. it's not a very good option. plants looked great up until the point they depleted the soil. Also my plants were 6ft tall at the end so they fed a lot more than yours.

Ah yes agreed. 6 foot plants are not an easy harvest. For me it works pretty good. I have a small 2 1/2 x 2 1/2 x 2 1/2 ft tent I made myself with an extendable roof. I put a 5gal roottrapper pot in there no problem. Got a 300w full spectrum LED in there kickin it. I don't let them get too tall. I max out at about 3 ft and get close to 3 or 4oz each. I just never got that smell you mentioned. I agree it does smell a bit off but it lingered in your grow space? Jeez dude sorry to hear that lol that's the worst, had that happen to me with bat guano once

With organic soil water only you don't need to water until you have "20% run off" like you do when you are adding nutrients to the water. With organic soil water only we aren't trying to distribute nutrients evenly nor push down salt since there are none it's just water. In some cases organic amendments are added but the microherd deals with those too. I expect the microherd to manage my nutrient distribution and they take que from the plant by way of releasing exudates from their roots.

If it's so legit and you've used it several times with great results why are you here asking questions how it's used?

You're not messing up so to speak...the method will produce some results. And since you're making your own compost you'll get better results than those following the traditional super soil recipe.

But you shouldn't layer your soil because there is no science to it. Some of your roots do go to the bottom of the pot quickly.

When growing organically the goal is to create a balanced, living soil. In a balanced living soil, exudates from the plant roots communicate with the microherd what they need, and the microbes react and provide. These live throughout the rhizosphere...not just at the bottom of the pot.

The bottom of the pot method will still give you access to the water soluble nutrients at the bottom...but it will not give you a true balanced, living soil. Hence why most supersoil users that water too heavy find themselves adding nutrients later...because they washed thiers away too quick. With a living soil you can't wash away your microherd and nutrients so easy. If you let the soil dry out they die.

And I don't mind a little smart mouth friend :) it's dumb mouth that I can't stand.

You're not messing up so to speak...the method will produce some results. And since you're making your own compost you'll get better results than those following the traditional super soil recipe.

I will try blending some home made super soil 50% to roots organic and try transplanting my 1 gallon veg plants into it I get what you're saying so I will do a side by side. The only strain I have 2 of the same on this coming run is remedy cbd so I will try it on that one.

Let me know how it works out for you! I recommend adding some Epsom salts when you water when you're in your third through sixth (seventh to ninth for Sativa's) week of flower. Nice magnesium boost. That'll help your buds swell...it'll sweeten your tomatoes too.... 1 tbsp per gallon

There's always one.... I'm asking what he means by run off. I water in short 3 second doses making short to have the least amount of run off. He threw me off when he said "20%" run off so I figured he was talking about something else.
