Bit of context....I am in Kitchener, Ontario, saw my family Dr. I've had for 5+ years today. Existing MMAR paperwork holder. Suffer from AVN of the hip.
Doc sees Cannabis as harm reduction. Is it better than you being on narcotics? Absolutely. He is not a big fan of smoking it (lung cancer, heart issues from combusted materials) but is more comfortable with vaping. Just kinda shrugged about edibles.
Asked about the 'college' and he said their official stance is similar to the DEA's 'has not been clinically trialed' yet kinda thing. He says some doctors are very opposed but most are quite comfortable with the concept. He say's he is somewhere in the middle.
His exact quote after chatting for 10 min. "So what do you need from me? Some paperwork or something?" He signed, updated my grams per day as per my request and I'm out the door.
This is absolutely the way it should go. No issues or barriers from him at all. Wished me luck.
