I haven't looked at the end result of vegaswinner's dimmer but "wasted time" and "bad copy" is exaggerated. Nothing original about the typhon that makes vegaswinners arduino project a copy, they are both implementations of commonly used building blocks and typical arduino applications. Even if someone doesn't buy the parts he uses, his project can still be a good introduction to see what arduinos are about. I do think it's wasted money because you can get the same parts much cheaper, or a nice touchscreen and a whole bunch of features for the same cost.
I see typhon is being phased out and replaced by hurricane, still supports only 4 pwm channels. Don't know exactly how many vegaswinner's supports, but it's more, and that is the case anyway if one builds one based on a Mega or uses a Uno+Pwm shield. Costs about half the price of a hurricane, while the guy with 8 drivers would need two hurricanes.
I noticed you connecting dots in a similar simplistic manner about a week ago... the par meter spectrum... I've seen the post where you got that image you used as a basis for your conclusion, which you then projected as solid knowledge/fact. Same again here, just because they are so similar to you doesn't mean one is a copy if the other... i.e. Nu är du ute och cyklar.

Also.......do you think I could hook 4 drivers up to 1 channel on this.........I'm thinking 1 channel for cobs, 1 for daytime mono's and 1 for lights out far red mono's, could this work?

That depends on how exactly they set up the dimming. I use a pwm connection on the arduino to control a transistor instead of the mw driver directly. If they don't, and bump the 5v arduino output to 10v, it may work with multiple drivers. It would be best to direct that question to Steve, you're surely not the first to wonder if it's possible. Apart from that, yeah, if it has the features you want, that would do. Arduino is more for protoyping, for a final product a custom pcb using the same microprocessor and arduino software is more appropriate. Comes down to the same in practice except that something based on a regular arduino would be easier to modify and expand.

Here is my latest 100% XP-G3 test board mounted to a stock PC-Cooler heat sink, mixing in reds on the next board. The power connectors I want to swap out as the power cables look under some stress, any suggestions most welcome!

Your predictable, petty and pathetic personal attack only makes it more enjoyable. And I haven't even posted the bottom side yet. Apart from the enclosure and 22 watts more leds it's already up and running for nearly a month fool. The only thing that needs rewiring is your butthurt feeble brain, get over yourself...On a more relevant note, anyone have suggestions where to get the enclosure pieces fabricated? Only need one set. I'm considering 3D printed + spray putty + car paint + a few layers of varnish for the top pieces, to keep it lightweight yet give it a metalic look. Or just alu sheeting,

I wasn't happy with the term light mover because it's more a light swing... Teeter totterer sounds much better.
I could place the teeter totterer inside the frame, pulling the light towards the wall and rotating slightly in the process. Unfortunately I'm out of pins on the arduino and yes I was high...
It's actually fairly balanced. Arduino + shield balances out the meanwell psu (for fans and arduino) on the other side partly. Could place a few lead weights in there to make it perfect. No led drivers in there, are attached to ceiling. It is currently hanging on a chain that forms a pyramid sort of, with the base around the center. Leveling it is simply a matter of adjusting the chain. Good point though, can do that again with 1 one hanger on each corner, allows main power cabling to go through center too.
Plenty in the area but usually not for consumers. Will figure something out, after seeing it in 3d it's no longer optional.

Or just put 4 eye bolts on the corners instead of in the middle and string with wire in a pyramid to a Single point. No more teeter.
