Paperwork signed by family doctor.....no charge.......no problems (Nova Scotia)

I read this article yesterday and it details the differences in each Province with regards to Doctors signing paperwork for the new Health Canada medical marijuana programme (ACMPR). I have been part of MMAR since 2008 and am covered by the Allard injunction. I had intended to "wait and see" and not apply under the new programme until I read John Conroy's thoughts and decided to follow his advice and sign on to the new programme now. Yesterday I visited my family doctor for my regular monthly appointment. He was happy to fill out the form and continues to be supportive of my daily use of medical marijuana. No charge, no lectures, no bullshit. I live in Nova Scotia and I wonder which Province people live in that are running into the doctors looking for big $$$ to sign papers ? I grow both indoors and outdoors. The outdoor plants (trees) and coming up to harvest time. We should get another month here before frost becomes a concern.....

Has anybody received their ACMPR paperwork back from Health Canada yet ? Is it a large piece of paper like the MMAR pinks ?

Thanks for the link. I will print it off and take it to my doctor questioning WTF he was going on about how the "college doesn't condone home growing at this time "It doesn't say shit in there about anything like that.

Off topic but since you're in Nova Scotia willie boy can I ask you what strains you've grown outdoors that actually finish there? I'm really interested in hearing what you have to say!

I would think some sorta green house would be needed to see the finish line....in N.S.
we have had a really hot and dry summer in Ont.and my plants are a month behind last years...for some reason.
I finished second week of sept last year...( total surpize) friendly bear seeds from Bruce peninsula seed co.(purple rasta/durbans poison combo)
seeds came from Toronto 420 celebrations
I have moved my office within 15 feet of my garden and am working the back shift on my puter
to keep an eye on things.....
May all rippers trip and stumble and split open their heads on a rock....

On John Conroy's website from his statement dated 27 August 2016 he states : " Those medically approved patients covered by the Allard injunction of March 21, 2014 and continued February 24th, 2016. "Until further order of the court" that to do not need to make any changes can either continue under that status or apply under the ACMPR. It might be wise to do the latter to avoid the uncertainty of the former, unless there are particular individual benefits to continuing under the injunction status. "

and

" Given that the government is saying that they will be making more changes in that these are interim measures it is my opinion that those of you still covered by the injunction and being subject to "further order of the court" may be in a more precarious position that those who have applied and been approved under the a ACMPR when the time for further changes come. "

I have great respect for Conroy and his legal team. I sent $$$ when I could to support the cause. And respect his opinions on how to proceed.

I have had good success with Northern Lights and White Widow. I veg the plants until they are a foot high before putting them outside around the 24th of May weekend. I plant them in large plastic garbage cans . I mix bonemeal, bloodmeal, epsom salts, lime, kelp and worm castings with #4 sunshine mix. I live in the Annapolis Valley of Nova Scotia. My biggest problem has been mold/mildew at the end of the growing season. I prune out branches to allow the buds to have air, shake branches every morning and harvest at the first sign of trouble. This year I tried to find seeds for plants that are mold resistant. I ended up planting Pineapple Chunk. I am legal for five plants and they are budding nicely at this time. Another month of dry, sunny weather would be nice.

I have used a greenhouse in the past. They can be tricky too. I am now way out in the woods and my primary security "system" is a mature 110 pound German Shepherd. Rippers are not really a concern. Deer, porcupines, chipmunks and racoons are. The biggest worry this summer has been the amount of water in the well. We are in the midst of a drought here. I have a large veggie garden as well and the well has held up for us. We sure do not waste any water though.

Much respect for Conroy as well, but there was no reason given other than possibly being in a 'more precarious position'. I live life in a precarious position, lol. I hope everyone is given a smooth transition to the new program, but I'm not taking any chances. I don't see Phelan suddenly ruling my garden illegal in the next 12 months or so, but I will deal with that when the time comes.

Funny how the wildlife even knows cannabis is good for them....lol...
