Is there an interim setup between Clone King and Buckets?

I am currently switch over to hydro away from soil.
I am using a Clone King which is great. The cuttngs generate roots with stems being prayed by water.

The next setup is a DWC 8 bucket (5 gallon) setup off of eBay with a reservoir.

Do I go straight to the big buckets and hydroton or do I make or buy an interim system for babies?

Let them grow a bit in this contraption then transfer to buckets?

I think I want to stick with hydroton and not take the cuttings put them go to Rockwool. The guy at the hydro store says he likes this white pebbles over hydroton which I think are recycled glass or something. The bag is really light.

Yeah I leave mine in the cloner untill I plant them. Worst thing I get is super long branched pretty white roots.

I tried to contact the guy to see if I would need a chiller. I should have it soon.

You would greatly benefit using a chiller. I wouldn't run without one. But if by some miracle, your water temps stay under 70*F, you're good.

i have wondered if you couldnt set up a beer fridge with a tub of water and drill two holes in it and have a recirc system from your rez. it could contain nutes or be separate chilling line with stabilized water. You could alter how many loops are in the tub to change temperature.

Will do. I am hoping I did not buy a pig in a poke. It looks interesting.

I may want to try to clone your set up. One system I saw solves the chiller issues (supposedly) with a waterfall drop of the water back to the reservoir. Supposedly "air cooling."

Bro, I have a waterfall in every single one of my 9 sites, it doesn't keep it cool enough. No way no how.

Yup, I tried without a chiller, with success, but once a chiller was in the picture, things got much better. Cleaner water, cleaner roots, faster growth, healthier growth, literally everything went in a positive direction.
