Burp curing jars once a week first week?

Whats good everybody. So I've got some stash drying and has been drying for the past five days. I have to jar up tomorrow and was wondering if I could burp once the first week on Friday as I'll be gone all week...I know this seems like a bad idea but hear me out quick

During the day the bud has been drying in a tent upstairs with no air circulation so the buds sweat themselves during the day from the heat (you could see/feel the sweat on the walls of the tent) then at night they'd be suspended in a big open room with two fans on them. so with that being said I feel like they're pretty dry but of course not dry enough

What do you think bro/bow? You think I'll be alright If I leave it for a week?

Dry with a fan till the stems break, throw in jar with bovada packet and let it be. I would rather leave the weed hang and over dry for a week while im gone than throw somewhat dry weed in a jar all week.

You could always put the really dry weed in a jar with the bovada once you get back to re moisten it. Might take a few weeks but it will eventually work. Much better than mold IMO

If it's bone dry, it might be OK in jars with a Boveda for a week but I wouldn't try it. It's much safer to dump the buds into large paper bags in a single layer, fold over once and leave in a cool, dark place for a week.

Alright well I got someone to burp them for me tomorrow night..think I'll be alright without mold til then? It'll only be a day and a half they've been in in the jars

I use 5 gallon buckets burp daily first week then normally sold lmao people don't let it sit they take it early no issues

You're inviting mold. Leave the lids open.

I am now a believer in drying longer. The terp profile/smell is totally different. I still do the "sweat" but don't cure them as moist. Boveda is great shit too.

Food grade buckets or no .....and how full do you go with your buckets ......I use food grade buckets but I like to start my cure a little wetter than most people so I have to go into paper grocery bags after drying before jars ....it makes it easier to dump the buds onto a paper covered table before jars to relieve moisture ......so how full do you fill your buckets and are they food grade buckets also do you gently move the buds roll the bucket around when your burping ....thnx

I prob do a lil dryer than most and full but not packed by any means and like an inch from the top. And food grade 2$ 5 gallon buckets at firehouse subs lol

Oh damn ok see I'm only going slightly over half full on my 5 gal fruit buckets from Sysco foods that they ship frozen fruit in .....when I finally get into buckets I'm pretty dry but that's why I do bags first so I can dump and then obviously the bags don't seal up as good as the buckets even with the top folded over .......you just removing lid then you never dump your buds to air them out ......I ask because I'm trying to figure out how much I can put in each bucket and things be ok ....I'm sick of having to burp a bazillion half full buckets and most people aren't harvesting in super large quantities
