the gavita one is better, but you`ll have to find a good source of DE lamps no more hunting down cheap e40 ones

DE gavita is about the best set up you can get with hids compared to LEP there really fooking cheap, lol

Compare COBS to LEC...No contest in favor of cobs.

growers house says otherwise on their ballast and bulb shootouts. gavita is good gear but not heads above other DEs in efficiency

Lights light its all the same.
The guy that has videos and a web site called grow weed cheaply or something like that did a very good video on how environment (temp and humidity) were more important. He even said CO2 was not that big a deal.

He had some very nice plants with a cheap HPS using a cheap wing fixture. He had a small fan on the wing to keep the heat off the plants and a light mover. The light mover was probably more expensive then his light and ballast. I think he had a decent bulb but not something expensive.

There are loads of guys on here who love LECs and do very well as well as CFL/T5 guys that do well.

i dont believe it
Yeah I followed that dude when we were growing the same strain.... Guy doesnt know crap about light... his light "covers" what ever space he says... but that doesnt mean that its usable only thats where the light from the edges ends. Im sure his ooOOOoOOOoMols are completely fake since he only measures the center of his lights... which are epistar crap. I posted a video of him explaining his light on here a while ago... he was just laughed out.

The Point most are trying to get across is how to save you money.. Would you rather pay $100 a month ( per 1000W roughly) and $50-100 for a bulb every (insert number) months all while the start up is around $100-450?
Making HID cost $450-950 ish per light per run not including AC.
Or COBs costing $1000 ish and running 500-800W dropping the monthly to $50-80 not needing AC and will last 50,000- over 100,000 Hours before they start to degrade. Costing 175- 280 for electric over the course of a run.

And after a year? just electricity with little to no upkeep. Add in bulbs and AC and it brings a tear to my eye..

Its just a long term purchase so People try to help.
