I did the soil testing I had mentioned. Both for the native soil and the soil I grow my meds in.

The native soil was low in nitrogen, low in potassium, but high in phosphorus.

The MJ garden soil was high across the board so I did the right thing by not really amending the soil this year and just letting them ride on water only. The only thing I could have done better was watering deeply more often. I've been relying on the drip lines and I could definitely use more water coming in. I'll get it set up better for next season.
