Hey all, So I'm harvesting a little bud here and there from my small personal- perpetual . 12/12 from seed, mini-Indicas with single -cola pattern and no side branching. Only my Master Kush from Nirvana is over 15" tall with small lower branching. Here's an Afghani freebie I chopped a bit early due to a (oos)= Out of Smoke situation .I refuse to buy herb so occasionally I go through "dry-spells". This morning I quick-dried a sample and found it to be too fkn strong to indulge in during the day, for this is good-night herb shortly before the narcolepsy overpowers you into a semi-comatose state. I like to stay active and have shit to do, so I'll be saving this for bed-time use. Running 3 strains atm, 2 pure Indicas and one MK which has a little Sativa in it. As expected the pure Indicas are finishing fastest. I'm an old-school toker and this particular crop seems remarkably potent, as compared to the usual hps- harvests. No need to roll a joint as it gets us way past medicated after 1-2 hits from a bubbler. Reminds me of info I read on how the intense violets and blues of the halide arc seem to promote higher terpene/cannabinoid profiles . I decided to finally run an experiment and see for myself. What I'm finding 'kindly' supports these claims. And this is only some early-picked bud.I can just imagine the fully-ripe, cured product... . I may switch to the hps lamp only for the last 2 weeks before chop to induce that final-resin gush. Anyway, here's that Afghani freebie: My crappy cam won't take good zoom-shots -

Can't wait to harvest the MK from Nirvana... She's about 32 days in and fattening up nicely. I don't have a pic atm but she is the star of the show in my grow . Not fussy about nutes, temps or anything else. Lovely resin production and bud structure. Will prolly snap a pic in another day or two. Love the way Skunk#1 influences this hybrid. After these heavy-hitting Indicas some Sativa in the mix is something I'm really looking forward to !

Just chopped a bit of my own strain I call "Midnight Nectar" (Afghani x Durga Mata II). No surprise that she is short n squat in stature and stretches nearly Zero % in flower. All these finish at less than 12'' tall and yield about 1/2 a Lid each. As expected, she performs great indoors, not fussy about anything. This hybrid is the result of my attempt at making my own seeds a couple yrs back and I'm glad I did. Good medicinal Indica, potent & it's easy to over-do it, and then it's Lights out for the night . Chopped this one a bit early, I can imagine the potency if I let her go another 2 wks .

The Midnight Nectar, a couple of weeks in chilling under the halide. About 30-35 days since the beans sprouted in solo-cups. Roughly 75% turned out to be female. Surely the blue/violet spectrum has contributed to this as well as the zero stretch in flower, and oc this is also in their genetic expression. Most of the phenos look similar to each other, there's not much variation (surprisingly). Starts producing notable trichome coating early into flower, and as expected, they have a short flowering time of about 50 days. Nice to have good results from one's own science-experiment

Here's Nirvana's Master Kush around 30 days in. Smells very distinctly of sweet piney/musky and peppery overtones with a spicy and peppery note in there as well. I've heard a lot of good things about this strain so decided to run a couple myself. Can't wait to try this one, dry and cured .

Thanks, I transplant the confirmed females around 16 days from seed into 1-gal pots and top-water once and then bottom-water the plants at least 2X per week. This stimulates the roots and makes them grow very fast and healthy. I also use beneficial bacteria/microbes organic tea as well as organic medium ( home-made compost + cow manure) and some perlite mixed in for aeration. I cover the tops of the containers with home-made aluminum "shield" because the intense HID Light in my small space caused the surface of the soil dry up very fast. I usually flower with Hps lamp, but something I read years ago made me want to use MH lamp for entire cycle, till harvest. So far I've noticed that the quality is better, all the way around using the MH spectrum. Terpenes seem richer and I notice an increase in potency in comparison to using only Hps light. I'm sure combining both would be even better, but I'm using only one switchable Lamp and that is sufficient for my needs. Personally, I'll keep using the MH as I'm impressed with the results . Maybe I will throw in a reptile (tanning- Light) rich in violet-blue spectrum as well as UV, and attempt to increase the potency even a bit more. Seems like it wouldn't hurt to try.

Thank man ! Yes all my girls are grown 12/12 from seed in my stealth-perpetual. Can't remember exactly, but I think the MK showed pistils around 16 days from her birth-day and has more than doubled in size since then. In that pic she's about 30 days after first signs of pistils.

You should LST them for a coulee weeks to get some branching but it will still keep your plant squat. You will nearly double your yield with 2-3 weeks of veg time and LST.

I thought it was better to have at least two weeks veg time. And yeah. The whole lst thing of keeping branches spaced.

I meant to agree with you. I have thought about going this with my HPS light just to see how much I would get in a couple months.

I'm doing my first indoor grow. Chose to go LED. Put down 300 on a light. And maybe a further 300 on cabinet, soil & boosters, electronics. Bout to start my first run. Just bag seed for now.

Hey, you gotta do what you gotta do. I have also ordered seeds overseas from Herbies. They took 3 weeks to make it to me, but I got them. They are very reputable and easy to work with. Just a thought, I know people that have grown some decent shit from bag seeds.

You mite find that vegging for 30 days and then flipping will more than double your yield as a plant has to be mature (staggerd nodes-approx 30 days) before it will flower.

I've got very limited room. Less than 2ft height with the bucket and light installed. Cabinet is 80cm tall. By 36cm wide. Probably won't be able to veg taller than half a foot in height. If it doubles in flowering. That's keeping a half foot between the plant and light...
