The Truth About Flushing

Just flush the plants,Feeding water to your plants for one week or two is far better than not,i don't care who say's its not,The only other thing i have ever seen that makes sense other than water is charcoal,i knew a grower who used to feed the plant charcoal in the last week after wetting the plant through,under the pots he had a layer of charcoal.He said it pulled any feed left in the plant into it,People do it when they have something that can cause harm or even drug over doses,charcoal is given,so why it should not work on a plant i can see why not,(BUT ME I STICK TO WATER)And i can tell the difference in flushed or not flushed weed,i smoked some other day ,and stated it was not flushed,only later that night to be told it was not flushed it was a snapped top,that was broke at week 8,so it was not that it was early,the full crop came down a few,day later .

I can't see the point in this thread fair play it was interesting at the start,But now its become like one of them turds that just will not flush you know the ones the,ones that just will not go away,this threads haunting me when i put my lap top on.Im been chase by rm3 with a kettle in my dreams im running has fast has i can,my roots are saving save me save me ffs,lol.

Drying and curing (when done right) on the other hand have proved (In many studies) to have a major impact on taste and flavour, by breaking down chlorophylls and converting starches into sugars. Most attributes blamed on unflushed buds may be the result of unbalanced nutrition
 
If nothing else flushing is a feel good, doing your part to make a better product thing, and keep doing it. I would hazard to guess if your doing it a week before the plant is truly ready then your not losing anything yield wise that you would notice. Boiling roots, flushing, drowning, darkness, it's all good if you truly think it is, peace out brothers and sisters......namaste :). image.gif
 
with my recent comparison using 4 plants, I could not taste, smell or detect any difference between flushed and not flushed

.....the Mountain Dew flush only added a slight flavour, but it was only the boiling method that actually made a noticeable difference in taste.

I'm not ready to say yet, as it's still early, I need to allow it to cure before making a solid opinion.

IMHO...the difference is the taste/flavour is stronger, more pungent, more defined..... it like the difference between a Bolivar and a Saint Luis Rey (if you know Cuban cigars).

hanging untrimmed for 5 - 6 days depending on humidity, then trim and into jars with 62% Boveda packs, I'll burp the jars a couple of times after just in case. The buds that haven't had nutrients in the last week smoke smooth and taste great before the cure.

My first harvest was not flushed. In fact I ran it full fucking strength. My leaves had nute burn. Some buds had light burn.

I trashed the light bleached stuff. There wasn't much.

I had to get into some of the buds to get the darker leaves trimmed out.

Everybody likes my shit.
Why on earth would I ever flush?
I'll try not to burn the leaves . I'll control the canopy so no light burn. But no fucking flush. Even if I lose 2 grams it's not worth it.

Not one fucking pro flusher has ever presented any science as to how flushing works. It's all ancedotal bullshit. My anecdote is this. 300 a zip with happy return customers. Proper cure and it smokes smooth. Fuck flushing.

And even the people who say "we'll if you want to go ahead" that's fucking dumb too. If someone said that they heard that spraying their bud with bleach water was a good idea would you just say well go ahead.

I say if you cant prove it with science then stop spreading it around.

Now @RM3 has given science on translocation and source and sink. He can back up what he is saying. Wheres the fucking science from the flushers? Where's the fucking science from the clear ex company?

I don't flush I just starve em by feeding ph water last week I run at 2000+ ppm during weeks 6-8 so plenty of nutrients in the tupur. Just do it for the fade this round I'm doing what jungle Boyz do and putting ice on top of the pots at night to mimic first frost and get what they call a fade to black. They do it to everything bud always comes out sick got the 12/1 light cycle that i love from them too. It's all personal preference I can guarantee i wouldn't get more bud if I ran all the way till the end dont matter there's already plenty there in my case.
