Those are self drilling, you can tell from looking at the tip, the flute. Can still be self tapping too.

Tapping is just to cut the thread in to a predrilled hole. The self-tapping screws refers to the fact you don't have to tap the holes, in other words cut a thread in it, with a tapper first:

So yes on the par#'s evenly across the canopy? What par?
If I remember correctly, it's something like 53-54% efficiency and I have 272 total watts. It's been a while since i ran the numbers. I have a cheap light meter that I used to check the variance. I'm sure it's not accurate to the real world, but accurate enough to see if I have hot spots. 8 V22s 4000k at 700ma and 8 V18s at 300ma also the 4000k.

careful, an integrated sphere stated that a Gavita Pro1000 puts out a whopping .3% of UV... That bulb will throw down... just watch it in late flower is all.
Yes indeed thanks. It'll go top tent soon, run in short intervals 2-3 hours per day. I don't access when that little beast is on.

"clean" builds are not what i would call my forte... but this is my new veg light i just finished building. outer rows are alternating 4000/5700k cxb3590's, middle bar 3500k's running bare to spread the light. planning to put my veg plants closest to flip in the middle and younger stuff on the outside. also attached are 4' agromax pure uv bulbs.

this brings my garden(s) up to 2600w of COB's... adding more bit by bit.

Totally get that, same for many dutch growers. Gram per sqft (or per tent) outweighs saving energy by running low intensity. Quite a few people now switching to led not to save energy but to get more light for the same wattage. I used to grow on 3x4 and upgraded to 4x4 just to have more space to work in, not to get more yield, and although I do want to increase umols, I will still run relatively low ppfd for the space.

The name femaleseeds.nl is enough reason for me to avoid it, just like dinafem. Cheap pollen chuckers making fem seed based on the work of others. Frankly I've heard only good things about them, including their c99, and in both US and NL forums. Did you contact them?

I've never grown sannie's jack, don't see the point of that strain. Sannie grew some monster colas with it, but it's just an inbred JH. I still buy jack herer at a shop sometimes (hunters in amsterdam) because it's cheap yet solid. Not special, but beats the skunks and kushes. I literally added jack herer to the menu in a shop I worked over 2 decade ago, was the shit back then, expensive too. Now it's the cheap stuff, well, except the seeds at sensi.
Just landed a pack of the sensi jack h, you think it's still the real deal, like the stuff you were referring to from 20 years back? Me and a mate were reminiscing about it a while ago, he bought a pack and killed em all, so I ended up getting a pack too

It's supposedly haze x (NL x Shiva skunk), a threeway cross with various phenos. Some more haze dom, some more NL. Point is, if you had very old jack seeds, you still wouldn't get the exact same bud or plants from all. Main difference with SSH is that Jack herer has less skunk genes and more NL#5 (shiva skunk itself is NL x Skunk). Same lineage, same cross, same or very similar pheno variety to be found, but I doubt they use the exact same parent plants for the seeds they sell today. If one were to cross shiva skunk with nl#5/haze and cross that back to the NL#5/haze on or twice you'd get something very similar.

I finally built a set of bars based on the design back in post #9. HLG185H-C1050A is powering the pair of 72V CXB3590 3000K CB plus a 36V CXB3590 5000K CD in the middle. The fan is EBM-Papst 92x25mm 230VAC 1600rpm. Four inch long 6-32 machine screws from Grainger were cut down to 3.5" for securing the fan through the bottom of the extrusion.

The passive drop lights are described here: https://www.rollitup.org/t/mean-well-hbg-60-1400-on-moduled-giga-with-cxb3590.910676/

Yellow tape on the cords to the IEC plugs is my color code for 240VAC.

Offtopic edit: Sannie's Jack has been worked for a while now. I haven't grown any (yet) but from crosses of it, I think I prefer the SSH line.

Edit2: The heatsinkUSA.com 3.945 profile has become too expensive unless you're driving more than 300W (along 16 inches). I love the way the HLG drivers mount up to the side, though; M4 holes were tapped.

Edit3: A higher power version with three 72V COBs: (2) CXB3590 3500K CD and a CXA3590 2700K AD in the middle.

Nice silver heatsinks dude, look a bit like the last lot I used, mine were longer yours are deeper only glued 1 cob per heatsink on mine but they are running around 220 to 240w a chip

That looks great @sanjuan !

The effects from the FEM Sannies jack are pretty decent, but the smell mid-flower was what I hoped for taste wise and it NOT there.
maybe heat stress lost flavor? Otherwise IDK

sad but sometimes they taste and smell better early in flower and the only way to get that taste into your bong is to cut them down way too early, maybe phenome hunt for one that develops its smell later in flower as it should hold onto it more

something about when the hairs start to retract and the buds develop you notice with a lot of strains the smell shuts down a lot

used to run a lot of lemon strains... I don`t touch`em now but I noticed the few times I had to pull a plant 4 weeks or more early the lemon strains taste so much more lemon when they are young so young you`d never normally cut them down but for max smell it seems earlier is better for some strains..... kinda sad

Never been one to pull early except for necessity as you said, but maybe Ill try it since I still have a pack.
