Going to Hamsterdam on 4/20 will pretty much mark you as an American. I always go on Canada Day for cover, eh?

My friend told me April and May would be the good season to go, but I want to be there in winter. Hopefully chill in some snow view or something like that. I live in the place never snow tho...it might be nothing for you, but I have never seen that before. Good idea?

Well, just try not to be too loud, ignorant or demanding and you should be ok. I have been there in winter many times but it does not snow a lot. More like slush or freezing rain. June is nice. I doubt you will be spending time on the Vondelpark in April. Bring rain gear.

What Im thinking right now is in end of April. We are planing to be there about a week or 8 days.
Do you think we have time go to some places other then Dam?

i kept my passport in the hotel. kept my wallet in my front pocket. just be aware of who/what is around you. there are pickpockets there for sure.

we never rented bikes and just walked instead. if you stay in the city center, everywhere is an easy walk. bikes just seemed like a hassle. and when you get tired from walking, find a little cafe, sit outside, grab a beer/coffee and just watch the people for a bit.

Yeah, you have time. Haarlem is nice. I like Rotterdam but i think port facilities are cool. Trains and streetcars are the way to go. I found that some of the best coffee shops are outside the city Centrum. There is an awful lot to Amsterdam so you should not find it too hard to kill a week there. Just buy a strippencart (streetcar ticket) and go explore. Take some shrooms and hit the museums. Go to the Hortus where the weather is always warm and moist.
