Boy, that looks tasty. My roasted birds are king, though.

Almost ate at one in Mainz. Decided against it and found a little Italian place nearby. Fucking amazing.

To be fair, it looks like Wienerwald has upgraded since then.

We used to get the Cornish hens and sometimes quail from a place called Jewett's Meats over the bridge in VT. The old man would get a 1/2 cow a couple times a year (8 kids/friends/endless relations) and have it processed into tidy butchers wrap parcels.

I miss that place....they also had the best half-sours and fresh eggs. This was the 70s, of course, so the chickens ran free and the old men pickled all the vegetables on premises...

I have fond childhood memories of a Jewish deli in Chicago. It is long gone but the bagel place next door is still just as good as ever.

this made me think back to my childhood on the ranch.. man i cant believe we didnt filter the milk, no processing. just ran some solution threw a can before filling.
