Didn't think so.

Actually you did with your post on the first page for building your own sensor. So I will take that back.

Getting a bunch of sensors connected to a logging device or even a small computer would be nice to have.

It would be a great way to replicate a PAR curtain without multiple meters. Buy one meter, calibrate a baseline to your $5 cmos sensor and then build $25 sensor points with wireless. I am lazy like that.

Cut off glass was the trickiest, when I last payed attention. A new sensor would be nice too, maybe an updated TAOS is floating around that would eliminate some of the glasswork :peace:

also wonder why no one has tried establishing a baseline with reverse biasing diodes.......lifi anyone? any known suggestions for why LEDS in reverse couldn't register spectrum correctly....Too broad?

Like your idea but I think there might be far too many losses in the various different conversions, that among many other issues. Who knows though, there might be some nano tech out there that could do it.

As a hobby we aren't so much concerned with accuracy so your idea of calibrating a DIY sensor to a simple baseline is great. Cut costs, get more sensors.

If someone came up with a usb connection interface for the sensor, that would open up more options. The aquatic plants folks have DIY waterproof sensors so it might be good to leverage their work.

That's fine. I was only looking for posts from people with PAR meters which makes it easy to handle. Just ignore posts from those who don't (or don't know how to properly use) have one.

Like say, yourself.

I really do think the member with OCD growing a flower under a vegetative light is a great example of the stupidity here. He thinks his grow is good. Then again he probably doesn't know better being 'special' and all.
