Mites are gone and I spray NOTHING on my plants...

oh so you have spider mites outdoors? I would think this time of year the moisture/cold in normal would kill their cycle.

I had very little pest trouble this year...I spray to prevent ...alternating between azamax and neem ....but doing it for 20 years on my different ranches in the Central Valley I tend to know what to expect ....and having lots of fellow growers in the area I have heard the cats are bad this year .....

Why would you avoid getting dm on your plants unless they had buds on them? It's harmless stuff unless your a soft bodied bug.

Its harmless unless inhaled. It can kill you. A slow painful death choking on phlegm.

It gets in the lungs and causes scaring. It takes prolonged or repeated exposure.

I mix it in my soil. Good for pest and silica for the plants.

First off, I don't know the exact science of why it worked but it did.
I can only speculate that it is the bug poison in the DE that is keeping them at bay..
Don't use dry sprayers, it will get on everything and there is poison in it.
The DE will clog the sprayer so keep shaking it so it doesn't settle on the bottom near the pick up tube. The sprayer is from the dollar store will be useless after you spray unless you can clean it out quickly, only a buck so what the hell.
All I know is that this worked when NOTHING else would.
Sick of burning money on bullshit from the hydro shop that gets rid of them for a short time and makes your buds taste like shit.
I was going to give it up because of the mites but now my lights are burning brightly.
Oh...and take your plants out of the box (grow area) when you spray...THIS STUFF HAS POISON ADDED TO IT!!! Make sure you get the DE from ACE Hardware in the yellow bag... "SAFER" Brand name, I cannot attest to any other brands, this one works for sure.
I sprayed my flowering box AND by veg box AND THERE ARE NO BUGS FOR MONTHS.
ADIOS AND HAPPY BUGLESS GROWING.

here on the east coast the spring and summer was hot and dry so it was a banner year for aphids mites and moths.
de was the most effective for all.
oils and pesticides(fruit and vegatble) could not keep up with the life cycles,which for a short time in late July early august was 72 hours for aphids mites .
I have used DE for about 30 years and don't understand why its not used more often with flowering mj bug issues.

remember when de is used as a liquid spray in grow areas it does dry and become airborne with air circulation.
all that is needed Is a microscopic dust layer on the plant to work.
but no matter as long as they are controlled how ever it happened

besides never see anyone recommend planting garlic Chives and onions in the growing areas to help control for mites and aphids either, that does wonders if you don't believe me try it.
or you guys with smaller grows indoors just a 5lb block of dry ice is enough to add co2 and freeze the buggers out.....there so many simple ways to save late bud....maybe you cant change a male plant but god help me I will not trash my hard work on any plant so easy.
I guess I am just older
not saying it will correct a poor ipm neglected garden but it helps

Thanks for the tips. So would you put one chive/onion or garlic plant next to each plant aka 1 for 1? I am think move them t the cooler side of the room when the lights come on and then move them next to the plant or even place them in the pot when the lights go off.

I bought two chive plants today and repotted them in a 1 gallon pot or maybe just smaller than that. It is a #1 pot. They were root bound at the nursery. They said they are easy to care for and grow. I have about a 12 x 12 room (s).

I am thinking put it in there when they are sleeping but Sodium HPS lights may be too strong. I might take em out when the lights are on.

I love garlic especially in pasta and on pizza but man this stuff is strong. I wonder why the spider mites get so freaked out about it.
