well I recommend to most outdoor gardeners 2 square feet per 1/8 hectare about 1/3 of an acre lol
I think it would be fine for a few 1/2 gallon pots by the entryway of a tent or small closet.
you can eat it to when your done or crush up some garlic and add more to the arsenal.
just like growing marigolds next to your veggy garden when close to first frost I dry them and crush them up into a power almost see there's another weapon
its a deterrent
as you know you have to stay on top of things no matter what you try to grow
