Thanks fellas! I ended up chopping the Mango Sapphire a few hours ago. Caught 2 little fuzzy fuc*ers in the mix. I was expecting that anyway with the root rot and how triched up and greasy the buds were even though she was sick. Upon further inspection the rest of the buds were ok and quickly separated and drying on my trim screen now.
Lights out for the Black Dog tonight and she'll sit in the dark till Monday or Tuesday night.
Already been drying/dying in the pot the last 3 days. Should start off the cure nicely and lock in that funk that she let's off.

Impressive!

How many of these units would be ideal for a 4x8 area? Maybe 6?

They have a calculator on their website. Just click on the grow light on the website and scroll down toward the bottom. Good info there too. Make sure you click on products and it will take you to everything they sell with information on all of the products and how to match them to your needs.

Anyway, really nice job man, those are beautiful buds. Two thumbs up.

Anything you noticed different compared to past grows?
Thanks man! The only difference I noticed between these and the 3000k Cree is they seemed more happier while vegging and didn't take much to keep them happy in flowering. I like both colors equally so far for flowering though. Would like to maybe try 3000k 90cri if they make it otherwise 3500k 90cri is an awesome all around spectrum for growing our beloved plant.

Impressive!

Thank you! 6 would be perfect for a 4x8. You would see some mega results for sure and have total control and flexibility over your canopy.

You will love them man. The good thing about these lamps in particular is they're hand made with love by the owner right here in the good ol US of A and it shows, so quality control isn't an issue and you can't beat the price of the Photons, especially being built with top quality everything down to the screws.

Building them yourself is a breeze now too. My first build was kinda like Dr.Frankenstein but it was done correctly and still pumping 2.5 years later just as bright as the first day of firing it up. No matter what you decide to do you will be happy with COBS!

Great grow Napalm! You're always killing it! Do you like these lights better than the nextlight you tried out?
Thanks dude! They're 2 totally different animals but both do what we want in the end and that's grow dank bud. I'm more of a COB guy myself but will definitely incorporate the Mini into my grows again. It proved itself to me 2 fold as you saw.

Ive been tempted but... im just to fuckin lazy too build. Notice i cant even be bothered to use apostrophes. Lol. So... i just as soon support a more skilled pair of hands for building and stick to growing some fordmidable weed. ;)

yea, for sure. I figured you'd say that lol.. do cobs get hot?
I can say that they do increase my temps a few degrees in my tent vs. ambient room temp/outdoor temp but there may be other factors at play here... They are warm if I put my hand directly underneath them but I could touch the magnifying glass lens and it most certainly wouldn't burn me.

My current ambient room temp is 72ºF (22.2ºC) and inside the tent it is 75ºF (23.8ºC). Exhaust at medium.

I'm just curious if there warmer then what i'm running.. I've considered another cab with just like the photon 180. right now i have the nextlight mini.. So far so good, but all i hear about is cobs.. Almost makes me rethink my decision but fuck it, i can just build another cab.. I love projects

The Photon's I have put out minimal heat. the fixture is cool to the touch. Only the bottom of the fixture gets luck warm (30 C)and the lenses get very warm (about 40 C), the cobs themselves radiate heat that you can feel with your hand at about 8 inchs from the light.

I a 3x3 tent the setup below keeps temps just 1 degree higher than outside tent. Its perfect setup for noobs like me, ridiculously simple.

I'd probably build another 2x2 so it might be a bit over kill.. the vero 29s are smaller right? what watt are they?
This grow was done in a 2x2.5 and it definitely wasn't overkill. Perfect fit I'd say. Like others have said it only gets a few degrees warmer than ambient under the cobs. No need for extra cooling of any kind like hps. The only fans I had running in here was a little cheap 4" duct fan for exhaust and a 10 watt computer fan below blowing on the stems and under the canopy. That will soon change to a hyper fan and phresh filter because of the odor. Also a vornado up top blowing down on everything.

The thing about led is that you can pack more lights in the same space, more light= more weight to a certain point so why not ?
Good Grow NapalmD, let us know what the end results are.

I agree, and most think its a waste to under drive and add more cobs to a given space, but when you have a limited space Gm/F2 yield maximizing is the name of the game.
