They give a big warning about clay pebbles for PH spikes. I assume they mean hydroton.

The local store sells hydroton but also white pebbles that are really light weight. They are shaped more like gravel. What should I use if I get an AutoPOt.

rockwool, fytocell, something with good capillary action. Those systems are bottom feed so you need something that's gonna wick. Fytocell in a paint strainer would be good.

I'm running mine straight mother earth coco. nothin else. water from above until the plants good and established then use the rez. I'm gonna swap em over probably during the first week of flower or so. this is my first run with the autopots so il let you know how it goes.

i haven't switched to the rez's yet, still top feeding til they get a lil bigger. i was debating on if I'm gonna rig up a chiller or what, my lights are hitting the rez pretty hard. I'm either gonna panda plastic them or move them out of the room, if i do that I'm sure i won't need a cooler.

I'm running them in a room next to some plants in rock wool with tradition pump and dripper set up so we will get a comparison of their effectiveness. so far they are growing no different then hand wattered coco

I really want to try to get to LED COBs. You see them all over in stores for work flash lights, tall street lights, cell phone flashlight, a Halloween toy that plays spooky music with 3 x 3 cobs with reflectors and other things. So bright and cooler temps.
