^rahz hope you know I didn't give any weight to that comment, I know people love the tasty lights. considered going with two t3 instead of one t4 for the 4x4 but only saw one t3 in stock and went a diff route. (2 x t4 was just out of my budget)

will def be looking at tasty to replace my t5 fluorescent closet in the future, people know your stuff is the real deal, don't worry :)

No worries. If someone has an issue of some kind with the lamp I want to know about it. Perhaps it's something I can do better.

If it's the "loud fan" thing, I no longer use the 38dB fans. They weren't cheap, just moved a lot of air. The fans I use now are 33dB while still keeping the air flow high.

If it's something else then I'm curious to know about it. My only possible critique if that if someone does have an issue they should say what it is rather than being vague because I can't address it (by possibly improving the lamps) when I don't know what the issue is.

also, noticed the pacific light concepts are all passively cooled, wouldn't the tasty led's have the upper hand on that?

ready to buy but still not sure - the amare stuff has more 'stuff' going on and is super appealing, but their site has been down for months and many are saying to stay away as that's a pretty bad sign for the company's future (and the future of your light in case of defects). the tasty led's look appealing as does the pacific stuff but waiting til i can rule out amare.

btw it'll be a 4x4 tent only 5'3" high now, forget what i said before xD
Taller tent would be better, but if your growing indica dominant plants you'll be fine. PLC or Tasty are both great choices for the 2x4' space, and you should be able to rock a half pound every 2 months if you have a separate veg space. Lots of variables, but your on the right track man, just stay with it. Keep learning, and you'll be growing dank buds in no time.

I have the TastyLED T4 in my 2x4 tent. It's a good fit and the build quality is as good as it gets. I've looked inside to get tips on how to build my own. Plus, I've asked @Rahz many questions and he's been very gracious to quickly answer. I've never read anything about bad build quality. Please show me. I have no regrets.

it would no doubt be rewarding to learn and figure it out, but i'm whatever personality type that would rather pay a little more to have it done for me already (without keeping myself up at night that i screwed something up and my house will burn down). it's cool you were able to do it yourself tho.
I m kinda like that too, would rather pay more and it being plug and play. But cobs are so expensive that it's kinda worth it. I did the proper aluminum heatsink bars a while back and it was too much work for my liking. However, have u seen my latest simple fixture using and old basket from a freezer? Not for everyone I understand it looks quite lame but I don't care! Timber kits are almost a plug and play if u don't mind that kind of a setup. If I had more money I would have purchased from PLC.

thanks man. ended up going with 4x4 tent and amare solar eclipse 450 but after ordering found out it's on back order :( worried about amare, the site I ordered from said they expect them to be back in on the 15th, but with what I've been hearing im starting to wonder if I'll ever see it at all xD

That's lame maybe consider a 315 cmh led tech is all over the place anyway it'll run just as cool and have a better spectrum than any of these led lights
Just shooting you some ideas from myexperience with this stuff

hard to communicate over text guys, we're all people, play nice :D

in any lighting there are strengths and weaknesses, just gotta know when good is good and not try to argue about which is best of the best!
