Noob reboot 5 strains,4x4, 1000w

Well the last journal was derailed by bad germination and I didn't feel like starting a new journal til I knew what I was running. I have 5 different strains in a 4x4 tent. I'm under some CFL's until they are all caught up and ready for some real light.
The setup:
4x4 tent
600w solis tek mh for veg
1000 hortilux hps for flower
XXXL magnum 8 inch air cooled hood
Soil is a mix of black gold water hold coco blend and black magic potting soil with perlite for drainage
Cloth air pots
Nectar for the gods nutes and bio root
The strains:
Holy grail kush
Spliff's Strawberry
Grow your own R.K.S
Caanelope haze
Pink diesel x Amnesia auto
The hgk is a month from seed and the cannalope haze is 2 weeks from seed. The rest are one week from seed.
Had some nute lockout early on. I believe the high coco content in the water hold was the cause. I did a flush of herculean harvest and it set them straight. Its a good soil just not for seedlings. Ah well live and learn20161010_002031.jpg

They are looking way better after the herculean harvest flush. Vigor and growth have returned. I have some water bubbling for a feed tomorrow as the soil is getting dry .20161012_012322.jpgThe sprouts are popping roots so I may put them in their cups soon. I left the dome off for a few hours today for the first time. They definitely still need it. 20161012_012414.jpgCardboard and duct tape..trailer park engineering at its finest. Made an intake for the tent with a little free time tonight. Don't need it just yet but very soon. It came out pretty sturdy since the cardboard was nice and thick.I doubt I'll need it that big but I can always cover part of it to get the flow right once u get my light setup in the tent. Man I can never keep it short and sweet :bigjoint:

20161013_152254.jpg Got the seedlings in their cups. Let's hope this new soil is more seedling friendly. Added some perlite for better drainage. Watered everything with some bubbled tap and bio root pH 6.4 ppm 170. Bags per the seedlings so they can ease in to their new homes. They all had some nice rooting coming out of the rapid rooters so hoping things go smooth with these ladies.

Bubbled up a batch of 1/4 strenght nftg advanced line for the gals yesterday. Also threw in some bio root and a touch of molasses. After a nice 24 hour bubble they all got a drink until 30% runoff. Everybody also got a small foliar of bloom kaos. The nutes were ph'd at 6.0 and had a ppm of 250. You should NEVER EVER mix ur soil with other soil if it's not by the same brand name,each 1 has different ph an ppm range an by doing this will confuse root growth an cause nutrient deficiencys in later growth.not saying it will happen but i know it can happen i see it first hand when a mate mixed plant magic,bio bizz all mix an plagron cause he had half bags lying round, he couldn't move the PH from 5.1 even after putting 6.5ph water through at 18ltrs per 6.5ltr pots it just wouldn't move his ppm was up an down all the time,he would take the run off after watering an check that,the crop come off with a disappointing 2.5oz from 5 plants to his usual 18oz from 5 plants,a massive difference

Thanks for the heads up. I ended up just using the black gold coco so I guess I dodged a bullet there

Just swapped out a few bulbs again in the tent. That puts me at 8 23w daylight cfl. That gives me 12,800 lumens and 184 watts of actual light. I'll rock with this till its time to fire up the 600w mh bulb.

Gonna top the 2 bigger gals tomorrow. The holy grail is throwing her 8th node and the canna haze is on her 7th. This should give me 2 nice clones and also help even out the canopy a Lil. Got 2 rapid rooter plugs soaking in some bio root ph'd to 6.1 and 400 ppm for a few hours. Not sure exactly what node I'll be topping to. I have an 8 inch hurricane fan on the way, should be here Friday. Just need a speed controller and I'll be good to start the 600w mh lamp. Right now their under 184w of 5,000k cfl20161027_052826.jpg

Definitely need to top the 2 larger plants ( holy grail kush, cannalope haze) but I've been busy as shit. Had some unexpected side work come up and I seized the opportunity to generate a much needed boost to my economy. I got my exhaust fan 2 days ago and I want to order my odor filter in the next day or two. This and an hps bulb would be the last pieces needed to complete this grow. Any suggestions are welcome as far as filters and hps bulbs go. Hopefully I get time on Tues to run my exhaust and top those two plants as its time for both. I really want to fire up my 600w mh bulb asap. They're ready

I'm going to go right to the final 3gal smart pots next. Ive been super busy between work and side jobs but I need to get a fan speed controller so I can hook up my exhaust fan and xxxl hood with the mh bulb. I need to grab more coco and perlite so I can up pot and give them a few days to settle in before I kick this grow in the ass. The tallest is about 6.5"and the shortest is 4.5"

Dropped some more beans so I can begin a perpetual. I dropped a 10 pack of starfighter x long bottom leaf regulars and 2 DJ's gold fem beans. The starfighter x lbl are testers from bad dawg genetics and the Dj's gold are from D.N.A. I'm a little anxious about the regular beans because everything else I have is fem but it will be good to learn how to sex plants and since I don't plan on f2ing these I can just cull the males. As for the ladies I already have going the plan is to leave them alone (easier said than done for me) until the end of November and then up pot them to their final 3 gal fabric pots. I'm hoping 2 weeks after that I will be flipping them. I want then to be around 16" when I flip so we'll see. They're only 9"-10" right now except the auto I have going.

they are all about 10" tall except the pink diesel x amnesia auto which is about 12" tall and the skunk is about 8". Soaked a pack of starfighter x long bottom leaf reg beans overnight and put them in rapid rooters today. Also dropped 2 DJ's gold fem beans and also put then in rapid rooters. All except one starfighter x lbl had a nice Lil taproot. All 3 spliff strawberry clones rooted as well as the cannalope haze clone. I'll transfer them to solo cups tonight. They're finally recovering from being up potted, topped, and defoliated. Need to start building a 10'x5' veg box so I can get a perpetual going. Funds are a Lil tight but as soon as I can I need to grab 2 more ballasts and hoods to expand.

got 3 clones to root so far, kinda a small victory for me after the start I had. 2 Spliffs Strawberry and 1 cannalope haze. Got them into solo cups tonight and you can see the 2 DJ's Gold (DNA) peeking out in the background. It looks like I should have some Starfighter x Longbottom leaf above ground tomorrow too. Those will be the first reg beans I've ran so it should be fun to learn regs too. 3 weeks until I flip so I need to get off my ass and build my 5'x10'x8' grow box so I can veg in my tent and flower in the box20161122_235645.jpg
