Advice for someone new to SCROG

Pictures say a thousand words so take a look at my two two screens. I'v never done a SCROG before so I'm looking for some advice on trimming. I'm 10 days into flowering and have read people tend to tuck, train and trim up to two weeks into flowering but, my screens are pretty packed full. I think I vegged for too long. My main concern is how manny tops I have going on. Should I thin out some small shoots above the screen to make some room or just let them go?

I had no plans on adding another layer but I might need it for support. A few of those branches are 3 - 4 inches above the screen already.
