Which way to scrog

So I have seen two ways, probably more but for this lets say two ways, to scrog. I was wondering which one is better for a single plant.

The first way is let the plant grow really big then bend it over and put a scrog screen over it.

or

The second way is to let the plat grow into the scrog screen and weave the plant as it grows.

Method #2 however you don't "weave" the plant into the screen, you push the taller tops back down under and force them to travel horizontal under the screen to the next opening in order for the shorter top's to "catch up"

What's wrong with number 1 this is the way I felt might be more efficient for an even canopy. Because when you weave persay you have growth that has already adapted to the scrog and new growth still tucked under don't wanna be heavy in the middle and light in corners. Thoughts?

Work the new growth towards the sides/corners, done right it works very well to utilize the smaller spaces.

I see #1 done outside a lot and #2 done inside mostly, which is what i do. Its just easier i find.

First time scrogging here, so my question is when do I stop bending the tops into the scrog after I begging flower. Or should I stop before the flower? Sorry for the newbie question

Personally I stop training when the screen is full and the canopy level. You won't have to do much after the stretch, just be patient and pay attention to their needs.

Do majority of training before flower but you can train a couple weeks into it.

Id say the 1st option of scrog is more for support of buds rather that training while the 2nd option allows you to train the nodes into a nice even canopy in veg then let's them grow up a nice distance from each other and at the same height so they all get an equal amount of light. I've commonly seen people use two screens and do both options if they're afraid their buds will fall over from weight.

I removed the scrog to do the trimming I'll be going in there in a few to set it back up

This is my first time doing a scrog and it did it as described #1. I don't veg in the same area as I flower so the plants have to be moved. I figured it would be difficult to move a 9sq ft scrog with a plant. I did some topping and a lot of supercropping in veg. I don't know if I did the scrog the "proper" way but everything filled up pretty nice with a couple exceptions(ran 4 strains under the same height screen). I'm trying to pick what strains reacted the best to my method, I have a couple picked out and am trying a couple of suggested new strains on the next one.

I would use the #2 method definitely in your next series of grows.
If you use the 4x8 grow trays, it's a lot easier to move them (little heavier tho).
I make a 4x8 scrog kit that fits them like a glove. I've always gotten best results
topping, lollipopping about a foot up, and scrogging them sideways for huge yolked out laterals.

2nd way, its how I'm doing my ScrOG if you tried the 1st way you would break soooo many branches, I've tried rearranging after its grown but you risk that dreaded *snap* you can check out my journal in my signature to see how it looks.
