Need help planning my grow

Hey guys, I have 4 clones(1 PPP, 3 C99) in a grow cabinet(30''x19''x70'') right now. They are growing under 3200 LED lumens of 5000K and 6400 LED lumens of 2700K.

I know that since I have almost 4 sq. feet I need much more light for my grow. My question is what would be the best type of light I could give to my plants that is cost efficient.

I've looked up CFL and LED, they look pretty nice since they don't require a ballast but the LED ones seem to burn a lot.

hello there, I have no experience in CFL or LED. I have only grown with HPS bulbs, a 250w hps or a 400w hps would be cost efficient tho. If you was to top them plants once or maybe even twice like I do sometimes (due to height restrictions) and scrog them under a net for a good 3-4 weeks veg before you flower you end up with some nice dence buds. I grow 2 at a time normally under a 250w and get 4-5 ounces dry that go into glass jars for a nice long cure :hump:

I would go with cob leds.. they are a bit pricey but their efficiency is un-matched..
4 cobs run at 50 watts would rock your area.. low heat... lower electric bill.. newest technology..

You ask about cost efficiency, but a light and genetics are the two things you don't want to cheap out on or get lazy with. HID (HPS,MH) works and is very affordable so I won't rag on it, but CoB LED's and LEC are superior to the point of consideration.

If you insist on cheaping out, just double your current light capacity and flip to 12/12.

Edit: The burn issue with LED's (both blurple and CoB) is nonexistent in my experience.

I had to have my COBs too close in my last grow... 16" is optimal and I was at 10" ... there was no burning or heat stress..
The upper fan leaves faded a bit, but no real damage compared to the heat from an hps..

Right, never cheap out on those two I have no issue spending 80 to 160 on genetics and as for lights I'm planning a build of a twelve to sixteen cob light running citizen 1825's to cover my big room 5 ft wide 8 ft long 8 ft ceilings. Right now I have my back up lights (kind xl1000's) running no heat issue they will bleach the shit out of the leaves unless you acclimate the plants when they first go in. After that they sit 6 to 12 inches away no issues

I prefer FIM to topping but thank you for the tip :)
Also what is your grow space?

Too soon to switch to flower, I have a lot of height I can use :)
and what I meant by burn is the LED chips would burn

Oh and the reason I want to change bulb type is because I already have 12 LED light bulb and if I want to add more I have to get sockets adapters, extension cords, pulleys and more bulbs. I just want one or two big things :)

Can you guys explain to me how the COB's work?
If I understand correctly, its a chip that you can set the wattage and you have to place it in a bulb case?

Basically put its multiple LED's of a given spectrum that capable of x amount of wattage and highly efficient at using that wattage to grow. They don't put off as much heat helping keep the need to run a/c units to cool your room.

hello there, my grow space is tiny lol. I have got a Dr 60 grow tent which is 60x60x140. I make the most out of it tho. I might try to FIM my plants in the future I have seen a few people doing it over the net. but I'm scared that I will fuck it up lol. I'm growing an auto at the min then I'm doing another auto straight after ( northern lights x big bud ). when I get bored of autos I'm going to try some FIMing
