How much butane are you using? So I can't hit 27 from push all my weight on the lid it looks like I lost a lot of my yield but it more clear I took the pressure out and put it back on and few big bubbles and medium sized and lots of small it's the 6th day and It was at 120f and -26.6 I've now turn heat to 127f
How much more that all you ever sayMore heat
More info on your stepsStart at 95degrees only raise the temps if the shatter is so stable that it is unable to react under vac unless it gets hotter. Also bubbles don't mean tane is still trapped in it.View attachment 3818923
So I only hit -26.6 in pressure.so I've tried all different ways I've tried busting the green with room temp butane I've tried freezing my green and butane but not busting the weed and when I sprayed I let evaporated and froze it Over night then hot water bath to scrap then I put in vac and with in 45 min it was done.Temperature burns off your terps, their very volitile essential oils. The higher the temps the more flavor you lose. Purging at a lower temp will cause you to have a more flavorful product. If you can vacuum down a slab at 95degrees and have it react then theirs no point in raising the temps cause you'll just burn off terps. I prefer not to go over 100 unless its an extremely stable strain. Also your not a magician and you can't magically make something rilock hard shatter. In the end after 3 plus days of vac it will be as stable as it going to get unless you force it to turn into a sheet of honeycomb. You don't need to over flip your oil either just vac it down on one side and let it go until a majority of the bubbles degas and its not reacting much anymore then flip and re vac down. Continue that process for 3 days minimum and you'll have very clean medicine. Every slab is gonna be different but eventually after you purge a few hundred or thousand of them its like riding a bike. Also if it just went into the oven for the first time don't over vac it right off the bat. It has a point where around 20-30hg it will have a flash reaction where bubbles come up from under the muffin at rapid speed and can completely fill your chamber if your not paying attention.
I've done a 6 day purge at 100f to start then moved down to 91 but it was looking good so I added all of my batches and messed itHas anyone done the lower temp with a longer purge?
My brother been doing for a very long time he goes to 28-pressure at 100f for 12 hrs then release pressure and 110f to melt bubbles away and it's perfect every time... but my max vac pressure is 26.6It is essential you purge for a minimum of 72 hours I have done countless testing with Steep Hill over the last half a decade. Also if your open blasting freezing your butane or you material first won't have a big enough impact to justify the extra trouble. If you want your hash to be under or right around 50ppm total solvents you need to purge for at least 3 days
