Well first off, if you were running the Hempy bucket mix, that is a form of DTW hydro. It's basically what I use with some slight modifications. And I'm a new Jacks convert myself because after a lot of research, what the proponents of Jacks system point out is that basically nutes are nutes, no matter what brand or how much you spend for them, the bottom line is that plants use certain chems, and the Jacks formulation provides almost everything your plants will need. And best of all, buying dry means not paying for all the water, plus shipping, plus the ridiculous markup for nothing more than hype.
So my op is that you just jump in and use the Jacks Hydro blends, that and read all the info on threads by folks using Jacks (and lots on other forums too). I've gotten to the point where I no longer want to be duped and taken advantage of by these asshole nute companies running these scams and taking advantage of gullible growers with their ridiculously over-priced garbage.
So I, like a lot of other growers (especially large scale and commercial ones) have made up my mind that I'm going straight dry chems with a minimum of additives, and again those will be directly from chem manufacturers whenever possible, not these thieving nute companies ;?D
