the mites I had before I got the predator mites were IMMUNE to, forbid, avid, azamax, pyrethrin, dichlorvos, and to a degree neem oil.
That's immune, meaning like maybe half would die simply from the physical attack (being dessicated and such) but they didn't even stop em.
150 bucks of predator mites had my plants picked clean in 10 days.

and for the record, I was totally a skeptic...
I called bullshit on my buddies claim, he supplies organic strawberry fields all over the pacific northwest.

Which specific ones? I tried these (see below) and they did not work and lady bugs do not work on spider mites. I know you know that but people always mention lady bugs. Lady bugs works on thrips. One fellow on this forum said Lace Wing larvae worked great for him. My issue with predator mites is they seem to have very narrow RH and temp ranges. Thanks Monkey Man.

depending on your conditions is what dictates the specie
fallacis is probably the best, but don't work at high temps
californicus, occidentalis, etc are more for summer time
what is your conditions?
and ladybugs are useless against spider mites, even if they did eat them (which they do not) the spider mites out populate the lady bugs like crazy.

COLO - dry and getting colder. I try to keep rooms around 78-80 with lights on. The lady at the place yelled at me that Lady Bugs would starve before they ate spider mites. Thanks.

haha, welllll she was just trying to save you the hassle of picking them all ut of your reflector-hood.
lady bugs are fucktarded..
BUT they do kickass for aphid infested roses
