Hello Cobkits,
Ive watched the Growmouse led vids and reading the forum here so starting to get itchy to go cob. I'm looking into a 10 cob diy citi set up and going back on forth on these parts listed below. Id like to get it right on this build as the latest builds I've done work, but im not too impressed with the results, but that might just be me an my expectations.
At this time I'm just doing testing for a few growers here and looking for the best bang for the buck and proving Led is the way to go now, there hung up on the Hps, but they are willing to make the jump once I get it right . They have donated to the R&D so that helps.
The grow area I'd like to cover is 4x4 to a 4x8 depending on what the 10 cob set can cover, looking to flower only.
The cobs I'm considering are 3500k series or maybe the 4000k's
CLU048-1212 80CRI
or
CLU048-1818 80CRI
Also im not sure about the CRI, I picked the 80's as they seem to put out more lumens.
So my question is which ones would be the better way to go and why, also driver recommendations would be nice.
My current builds are of the 3watt leds 2x85 @48v/3.2 amp dc multi spectrum panels other wise known as blurple. The dual panels pull 232 watts at the wall as a set. The Third is 120-3 watt panel. Dc current draw @48v / 3.9 amps dc. Pretty much all white at the 6500k, I know, 6500k not the best for flowering so it seems.
I do have plenty of uv and Ir/far reds should I need to add a bit of supplement.
The growing media is coco/coco compost mix.
Thanks for the input and recommendations.
