1000 wts HPS first time indoor grow

First time growing indoors. Growing two Moneymaker clones and two Delicious cheese candy from clone. Growing in happy frog soil ten gallon pots. Using a 3x5 utility shelf. 1000 watt HPS with hood and ballast. 18/6 canopy temp is 88 degrees. Need some feed back guys. Are the lights too close? Is the temp too high? I have a big fan running on it and a small one pointing up to light and canopy.

I agree, the light looks too close, but it also doesn't look very bright at all. I would say try lowering temp slightly so it is between 75-85 degrees fahrenheit.

I agree with @Serrated_ the leaves are looking droopy. What is your watering/feeding schedule like?

Back the light off for a better spread and less stress, the room is kind of hot for a 1kw hps that close.

I really hope you looked over those clones for mites ect...

Thanks man. My guy treated them already before donating them to me . Not sure with what but they have been treated.

Looks great to me. I would keep your regimen and just look into loli-popping your crop. Next time around stake the plants out a little more as well to increase your light penetration.

One of your leaves also looks like it has a calcium deficiency IMO
Thanks man. Would it be to soon to lolipop if I just transplanted on 11/14. And what or where should I stake them. Open up the branches or what do you mean.

So last night before lights out I lowered the plants from the light And this morning the feeling of seeing them better and perked up was a great feeling lol. Still not all the way better but doing better

I am sure others can correct me if I am wrong, but IMO, if your plant is showing signs of strong vigor than it would seem that they are no longer in any sort of shock from transplanting. You are probably good to go and cut off some of those lower branches that don't/wont get light. Lolipop at least once during veg and then again after stretch, during flower.

Only a good understanding of your plants genetics will guide you to do what and when. Remember every seed is different. No notes you will ever read will tell you exactly how your plants will respond. Even a clone could react different. It may be the same up top but the root ball is not from the original plant.

You will learn the staking process as you go. Either try bamboo sticks, yoyo hangars, tomato stands or canopy trellis. The idea is to open up the plant and allow for more penetration/flow of light and air.
