DIY will *always* be a lot cheaper than a commercial fixture, and give you more control to tailor your design for efficiency or powerI think they look great....seems like a great idea....Quantum Boards...yeah...I think I heard someone say they are like a Nextlight deconstructed! Nice! I was going to check into a Nextlight, actually...but if these boards turn out to be essentially the same thing, then I'm down to try...a LOT less expensive than a Nextlight! I would like to see a high-powered (driven hard) version, too. Fuck efficiency....j/k!
Cool stuff.
If you doing DIY and just need boards then ordering your own driver is the fastest way.I would like to run 2 of these in a 2x2 if possible . I would be fine with 200w at the wall. I would like a driver that I could add to if needed. If the Mars 600 I have now does veg and flower I'm sure two of these could smoke that. Can a driver be ordered along with these boards or do we have to look elsewhere?
Flat plates slightly wider than the boards are handling 80W per board.heatsink or flat plate?
get some grommets on that sucka
If you use a countersink bit on both sides is smoothheatsink or flat plate?

imma mount that to a cookie sheet in honor of thanksgiving.Flat plates slightly wider than the boards are handling 80W per board.
Anodized Pre drilled heatsinks coming soon.
Looking forward to some test data from the board you got
Protects the boards during shipping lolroger that. why the hanger loops on top is that some sort of crazy uplighting project?
This is the type of bullshit I see way too often around here...fucking know-it-allsNext light? How about next mistake?
These boards are so much better that to call them similar does the reader a disservice.
Having seen them both, I stand by my assessment. This is the type of bullshit I see way too often around here...fucking know-it-alls
So that is 4 boards at 80w each on a 24"x24"x.125" plate?Flat plates slightly wider than the boards are handling 80W per board.

Very impressive. Can't wait to see the grows start coming in with your new boards...and your commercial offerings as well. Good on ya!
https://cobkits.com/product/meanwell-hlg-120h-48a/3.3 I mean really 3.3 sqft. Not 3x3
Used 2 boards for that.
Boards are just like cobs. You can run a cob at 200 w for a 2x2 or 4 cobs at 50 w each for better efficiency
For 2x2 you can use 2 or 3 or 4 boards on a HLG-120H-C1400
4 boards will give max efficiency and most even spread but will cost the most.
2 boards also fine
