I got my light engines from you, actually. They're all 3500k 80 CRI. I'm just running your standard heatsinks with the active cooling fans. I'd love to do away with active cooling.

I have a driver from epi-panel . 70-85VDC 520MA I have seen some with higher current and lower voltages.
Boards need 100+

I have a Mar 900, which draws about 420 if I remember correctly. It has a veg /flower switch witch I presumme just turn on two drivers. So I have an epi panenel with two 200 watt drivers, I could I use just one of those drivers maybe?
edit: screw it. I'm going to open open the mars and see exactly what drivers I'm dealing with.

could these come in a 36" length? I usually prefer passive cooling , but i'm thinking 3 of these inline with a 8 comp fan I have placed in the middle.

My Mars 600 would fit one board nicely although it would become just a case at that point. I ordered two QBs along with a 120-c1400h driver and waiting for the heat sinks that are coming. Looking forward to compare to the Mars 600 I'm running now. This is in a 2x2 gorilla grow tent growing one plant at a time scrog, LST etc. i could have spent the same money on a COB setup but need all the headspace I can get.

I didn't buy them all at once. I got 6 COBs at first, and I built my own engines, then I bought 2 of your engines. I just realized I'm also an idiot, because 4 of these guys are 4000k CXB3590's from a previous light. I can't remember exactly, but it's been a month or two putting this setup together. But regardless, I'm amped to see your results ha ha.

I've been away for awhile and BAM, quantum boards hit the scene 
It feels like this is the obvious next step forward from the samsung strip lighting for DIY. My last order of strips had 561B+s on M282 strips. I paid $.15 per LED and you guys are saying the 561Cs are 20% more efficient. So, $.15 X 1.2 = $.18 per led (to try and find a cost comparison) X 304 leds = ~$56.
My point is simply that this is a good deal, even if you're comparing the cost to high production models at discount prices and the form factor makes it much easier and nicer to mount. Bravo, I can't wait to see the grow threads!

Yes the white one. Honestly I don't think it's worth it just for the case. I think when Robin gets the heat sinks in making a mount setup will be much more simple. I got both my boards today and just waiting on the driver. The drivers in the Mars are not rated for the Quantams. I imagine custom mounts to come down the road though. These boards are nice.

Those are too narrow, If you run the boards soft i think you can get away with aluminum plate and a fan.

Agree but " something like this " was the key. If down the road we can get something like this but made for the boards that would be cool. Honestly I plan to make a frame setup like Robin did for my little 2x2. Yea, that's what I was afraid of about the drivers. Looking forward to see what you do with those boards. Running one of those on each side of the Mars may be the way to go for me. This is looking like great option.

1/2 side L Channels 1/16 or 1/20 can be used to connect multiple heastinks.
L Channels with leg facing down can protect diodes in case you keep lamp diode side down on table
Going to make a veg lamp with HLG-120H-C1400A
Bolt down driver with 2xM4 nut/bolt
Wago on a power cable.
Screw down board with 8 screws
Wire the driver DC to boards and wago
Install hanger clip
