@doublejj I wonder why they decided to shave down part of the top plate to make it the same thickness as the bttom plate. I see the thermocouple goes in the upper, is there also a hole for it in the bottom plate?20 Ton Harbor Freight shop press, converted to air/hydrolic & 5x7 Low Temp plates.....

How is it holding up to the pressure from the pressing? And also how did you convert it to air?20ton Harbor Freight
it's holding up really well. I just bought a HF 20ton air jack & swapped the jacks. I had to drill a couple new bolt holes in the air jack base so I could use the original mounting bolts. I drill the holes a little oversize & used a small washer on the bolt, worked good......p.s. buy a long air hose because the air compressor is LOUD & we keep it in another room. good luckHow is it holding up to the pressure from the pressing? Awesome! thanks for the info my friend. One more question. If i were to convert to air, how big does the air compressor need to be to push enough psi?it's holding up really well. Thank you. And how do you measure the amount of force applied to the flower in the press?no not all bolts take a load.....only the 4 big bolts at the top.
