i got a 4' by 5' by 7' grow room in my 10'by 12' spare bedroom. don't have the option to vent outside as its so cold up here. if i vent thru a carbon filter with my fan blowing used air from the grow tent into the bedroom ,would i have a issue with excess humidity? its pretty dry humidity wise in winter up here. anyone have humidity issues doing the same? at -30f opening windows isn't a option. got 4 plants started in there.

I am doing the same thing, humidity is a little high sometimes but I can crack the window in the room this time of year(live in the desert). Best bet would be to buy a dehumidifier for the room your venting into to keep it down. I'm probably going to have to do the same when summer hits(and I can't crack the window). Also depending on what your growing in (soil, coco/ hydro) it might be lower or higher. I'm running coco this time and watering 2x a day so it's more humidity than I'm used to.

IME I would say its more critical to maintain temps and humidity within range, doing everything to avoid swings or wild changes in either direction, rather than aiming for specific numbers.
We're growing a weed here, it is highly pervasive, and will grow in just about every environment so long as its predictable. You will find people running low humidity/low temps, and people running the total opposite, both getting excellent results every time and swearing by it.
Proof if you need it of this plants' adaptive nature.
Remember also that humidity and temperature are symbiotic factors in your environment; they cannot be thought of separately.
As long as humidity isn't crazy high and stifling transpiration or encouraging mold, or so low that they transpire too fast (drinking heavy, taking on excess nutes etc), you should do everything else to keep it steady.
If you're fighting really high humidity then you have no choice but to dehumidify.

If you have that small of a grow in a home, and its that cold outside, the RH is probably low in your home. Just recirculate air.
65 is on the high side depending on stage of plants, and think about how RH behaves.
If lights turn off and temp drops, RH will jump up a lot.

I'm running 24 hr lights as I'm growing autos. got a exhaust fan on a regulator and a rotating fan inside. they're in seedling stage in 5 gal airpots. started them in their final pots as I've read that autos get stunted by switching pots. probably why i have such hi humidity. should i start running the fans in there now or wait till the seedlings get a little bigger? they're about 2in. now just starting to grow their true leaves.

Theres so many variables theres probably no ideal. They do seem to do better above 50 percent humidity in veg.
Too high humidity and you have to worry about mold in your grow spot, and PM. Usually thats above 70 percent. Bunch of variables once again.

got vent fan and occilating fan on low and rh is down to 55%. their 1st true leaves are an inch long now. were starting to stretch so i put them about 3ft. below my 1200 w king led. i hope i don't burn them. according to directions, min. distance to plants is 1.7ft. so i should be good to go. thanks again for the info. got 1 bean didn't take so I'm replanting with another strain of auto.

55% in veg is nice,just go easy on everyting give them plants a chance to kick in takem couple weeks to put they feet down
