DIY with Quantum Boards

I had to use the ignore function sadly. The fact is Stephon , CobbKits , Robin combined have a lot more knowledge than I or most single people on here. I love the fact these guys are in business for someone like me to MacGyver my own light setup and have better more efficient results. If people have doubts about new/different tech then jump in or wait for the results, what's the point of theroycrafting when you don't have a QB in your hands ? Will these boards replace everything on the market prior ? no but they do allow for a lot of customization and space constraints.

Its sad that these threads get bogged down like this. A lot of useful info gets buried and I like to re read a lot of it as its interesting to me.

See how he says nothing "worth his effort to read"? Why reply if you have me on ignore? Like having your "safe space" where you can feel high and mighty?

You act like just because you say something, it is true. Thats not how reality works my friend. Sometimes it helps to explain where you are coming from, dare I say, explain why you hold the viewpoints you do. Come to think of it, thats the whole point of a public forum (doh).

So perhaps when you can act like an adult and use proper discourse on a public forum, rather than using ad hominem attacks and claims with no supporting evidence, you should be allowed to post here again...

Back to my original point, if anyone doesnt understand how omnidirectional light is more ideally suited for vertical growing than directional light, Id be happy to explain and not call you any names :)

Honestly, I feel in threads like this, the OP has to take responsibility of keeping the original post updated with pertinent information or links to those posts or even just reserve the second post for updates. Either way, its typically a pita to sift through any thread of any larger size. They are the only ones who can really alleviate the problem. Especially in a new product thread I would think.

Actual EXPERIENCE with the techniques and technologies, that's what I've demonstrated, and it's what you don't have and won't acknowledge.

You and YoDuhDweeb are on the same level.

Do you curl up the edges of your flatlander grows under HID? Why not? Your logic is just as applicable there.

Lets make two things clear, you have addressed literally nothing I have said in any of these posts. You have only talked yourself up and demeaned me. And you have no idea what my experience level is...

Did you read the part in the post you originally quoted where I said "You can build a badass setup using this method"?

So... Im lost as to why you are so hostile, buddy.

This is how you address people... Two reasons this isnt the case. In the edges of my flatlander the plants are up against the walls, and using a hood for HID or LEDs reduces side lighting to the point where it is typically better off to have an even canopy. However, depending on your light spread, a stadium grow or curved screen would be most ideal.

On this forum after a certain timeframe passes the OP themselves even cannot edit their own post. One of the more annoying functions of this forum IMHO.

Usually people that have a lower intellect cannot control their anger as well. They seem to lash out more and are more emotionally unstable. Just read this article, it's exactly how that guy acts .

Why not put the solid info, diagrams , meter reading etc on here https://horticulturelightinggroup.com/ ??? I understand this is a venue for them to get a new tech exposed but if the info they present to us here could be preserved on a site with no interaction it wouldn't get buried. Then let us hash it out on here and elsewhere.

We will not be offering DIY products on the Horticulture Lighting Group website as its more aimed at bigger scale operations and complete plug and play fixtures for our retail channels. We only offer these in DIY and DIYish format to give back to the community and let you guys get a taste of what is to come in our complete fixture lineup. Also generally why you don't see many complete fixtures using the newest best thing is it takes time to bring a fixture to completion. By the time you complete a luminare the next gen stuff is out. Like the 4k TVs. Samsung had working 4k when they released 1080p from what I'm told......

On the TV comparison the problem with the Samsung 4K wasn't them having 4K and it being new, it was the damn cost on initial release. Who the fuck is gonna drop $10K on a magnolia TV set at Best buy lol............

Now years later I grab an LG with HDR for $400 on Black Friday.............
