has anyone tried useing dry ice for co2 ? i was thinking about maybe hanging a little cup or bucket off the ceiling with a little water and a small piece of dry ice. i know this will make co2 and quite a bit for mad cheap because i used to put feeder rats down in a big rubbermaid tote like this and they would go out like a switch....fast.so if this isnt a good idea please tell why.i know it would take some trial and error but really cheap and it could easily be removed when desired levels are reached .just something im pondering what do you guys think.when i try searching using dry ice its all extraction related.thanks for any input

thats one of the least efficient ways to administer co2. atmosphere is 400ppm and youll be aiming for 1000 to 1500, dry ice wont likely get you there in a cost effective manner. co2 isnt worth doing half-assed.

Get a burner and choose your fuel. Using your municipal gas utility is best.

Ok maybe I wont go the sealed route but there's no way I would by a burner for a 4x4 tent, seems a tank would be the right choice anyway? I was thinking of places to save loot thats all

Could you elaborate on inefficient,i know a peice the size of an ice cube fills a 20gal tote solid in a couple seconds, thats what make me think its not good...too much .Im just learning indoor growing and mj cultivation in general...just kinda surprised of all the reasons I thought it might be a bad idea, that efficiency wasnt one of them considering DI is dirt cheap compared to the other options.

Subscribed. I'm curious on this as well. Would be an extremely easy way to bump CO2 every now and then in my mother tent. Plus I have heard of people using a bowl of baking soda with a vinegar drip system to get a little extra CO2.

the cheapest most efficient way is a co2 fire extinguisher ..buy second hand dirt cheap. Refilling is cheap too. If you can't afford a co2 controller use an online calculator.

Large bowl of baking soda with soda bottle with a small hole in the bottom filled with vinegar above it. Drips slowly onto the baking soda cause small reactions till the bottle is empty. Change bowl with new baking soda and refill bottle 4 times a day( again just read about it no personal experience)

how ironic i was actually reading that just now and based on that im not even going to worry about co2 for now.think im gonna make sure my ventilation is on point and climate and just run with it. i think i may be starting to overthink it lol sealed isnt right for my purpose and level thanks again
