Thanks @Jubilant

Just a heads up. Ch9 seeds has stopped producing photoperiod fems for now and has bulk specials on seeds left in stock.

I actually emailed Pete the Breeder and made a deal for a whole bunch of stuff. I will be sad if he stops forever. He hates the seed pack market. Especially Americas.

I have started to keep clones and look for my favorite plants to keep.

The CH9/ Motarebel and CH9/ Mr. Nice plants are some of my favorite ever. I guess it's obvious from my mostly Ch9 garden. ;-)

His older stuff was great too. But lighter and trippier as he was chasing the old school sativa high rather than incorporating the more potent medical side the newer strains have.

I need the potent meds. But I keep some seeds for the delicious older strains. Flower is a Yumbolt cross and tastes and feels very much like the old flowery smelling skunk weed from the 80's. And Greenbud is a re-worked Ed Rosenthal Super Bud from Sensei Seeds.

He deserved more recognition. But he sells bulk seeds at very high volume instead of late.

Here is the only short BLT I have grown. I am re vegging clones of this little powerhouse.

She's got some nice structure to her. Mostly tight nodal spacing, enough space in between to allow for better light penetration. She looks sweet, bro.
Yeah I actually prefer a little more open spacing sometimes. It allows the low bids to ripen up nicely, the wifi I used to grow had pretty wide open spacing but it would be golf balls from the top to bottom bongsmilie

Damn that's a beast for being that short. I want that now

It grew 2' x 2' and stayed that compact. Which is convenient because I train every plant in flower to fit that area if possible.

But some phenos of the BLT do not cooperate. Most would grow 4-6 feet tall if I didn't bend them I think.

Here is a plant that has been in my growroom for a good while.

Blue Lemon Thai #4 harvested at 13.5 weeks.

1st plant here finished under the new 315 LEC. It was under it and away from the Hortilux HPS mostly for 1 week.

It finished a bit different than I am used to. Buds got more bulbous and seemed to have a strong growth spurt at the end. And it sure got sticky and made a lot of frost for this pheno.

13.5 weeks damn lol. You're a good man, I couldn't wait that long. 3-4 more weeks and I would've had 2 complete cycles done and harvested. Looks killer though, how'd it stay so short for almost 14 weeks? Flower from clone?

What was the yield on that?

It's funny. I started growing the ch9 genetics about 2 years ago and always harvested 8-9 weeks. Stuff cured nice and tasty and pretty potent. I got about 2 oz per little plant from feminized seed. Like a good newb I guess.

But when I built my room and doubled ( now more ) the wattage I guess I had dialed in a comfortable environment for my seed plants because yield went up and has now doubled and even tripled for the same space.

But I noticed these sativa heavy hybrids have more than one growth spurt so I waited on one.

It gave me 5 oz. of way more potent weed. So I let them all finish when they seem done and just added a third light to sort of compensate for the extra time. I lay pretty low out here.

More psychodelic and more medicinal qualities have resulted with flowering mature veg plants ( which most growers know is helpful) and actually harvesting fully mature flowers.

That plant had 3 growth spurts. It's genetics are heavy in lemon Thai and ECSD.

I will post the yield of her in about a week when dry for jars.

For training I usually bend by day 10 in flower and basically the plant is half sized then. As the different strains and phenos grow I just adapt with stakes and soft tie to keep everything in its size and shape. Some buds end up supercropped sideways.

The penetration is great at 30" tall plants max so I just rotate and move the plants their whole cycle as I water them (mix and feed individually) and I can inspect and care for them closely and place them to get light where they need it. Or when they need less.

I think proper transplanting throughout veg at the right time for a complete root ball is key. And watering only when the roots have had plenty of dryer soil time to search and fill in.

I tend to water once a week or more in veg and 4 days apart even mature. I have only seen one plant wilt in a peat mix in that time frame with proper runoff.

The results just keep getting better and if I want to cash crop I will just run clones of one of these big girls to maximize the time.

But I just wanted to smoke the best weed I can. I had bad luck in west Michigan finding any quality when I moved here 5 years ago. So I started getting to know some caregivers and started reading.......

Sorry for the huge post. I am freaking baked and kind of hallucinating on an edible and a few times of Pow33 x BLT.

Babble babble ;-)

Been there once or twice

I'm not much of a sativa guy though, if I could use them then the flowering time wouldn't be an issue I guess. I have anxiety so I tend to get kind of freaked out or start feeling like my heart might explode. Almost had to go the ER a few times lol.

You definitely got some nice looking plants going though. Good work :)

Thanks. I appreciate it. I will say unless you over smoke or eat too much oil for your tolerance there is nothing but a smooth high with bouts of giggly happiness to the BLT and crosses.

I will say the jar of Herejuana x Jack33 is a bit racy. I am an old trip head though.

But his strains mostly have balance even with the high sativa expression. It is one of the reasons I learned to let them go longer. The cannabanoids and terpenes start to get near full potential. And have very strong relaxation and medicinal qualities. As well as mood enhancement and light but very noticible trippy effects.

I suffer from a severe colon problem and joints and neck as well. And the breeder at ch9 has ms. And we all know that requires strong meds. And he has to water hundreds of plants sometimes.

And some of the more indica plants I have grown from them were very light and trippy and not couch lock like at all.

So what do I really know?:-)

I have seed plants from other companies going now to compare. Should be interesting.

I think the 315w LECs are legit, by the way. Like, that is probably the only HID I'd want to use.

Here is a comment just for you for worrying so much about something that the type of makes so little difference compared to other environmental factors.

LEC has been proven in a commercial grow on a gas chromatograph to have produced 4% more thc than the clones grown under HPS and cob.

that make since. LEC produce a lot more UV light then cobs or hps and adding uv light has been shown to increase THC levels. LECs are the best selling grow lights at local hydro shops

I just picked up a couple 315s, remote ballasts, to hang verticle inbetween rows for a cycle. See if it has a noticeable effect, otherwise they are going to be my veggies.

I just finished a plant under them and it was noticably stickier and healthier than they have been with HPS alone. The weed is great and the yield was high but it is far too early to form any opinions afte 2 weeks or so.

I will say and it is completely subjective that the branches and buds that are in the overlap are super happy vibrant and frosty. Maybe more than the other sides of either plant.

That's with a 600 Hortilux super HPS and the 315 LEC next to each other.

Just wanted to post a couple pics of my med grow . I did a cross of a THC Bomb male with a cheese , Nevada privada . og kush , big bomb and afghan females .
