Fortunately for my fists and my walls I haven't had to get the Spackle out this century...that's in the past.Aluminum tape might be better than the kapton. Nice idea.
Yeah I have more control now than I used to, and bud instead of Budweiser means less holes.
I dont like Budweiser as my beer choice, but it rhymed.
As for the tape, SupraSPL used Kapton tape, so that is what I started with. The thermal paste and the tape have worked well. I also tried the 3M aluminum tape, and that has worked equally well. I like the extruded heat sinks, so the aluminum tape is also used to hold down the wires between the cobs...and it matches the sink (bonus).
And a few post back you mentioned shortened driver life when running them hard. I keep a fan blowing on my drivers...I think they like it!
