My name is Dr. Strain. I am from the Matanuska Valley. The 574 cut of the MTF is the original Matanuska Thunder Fuck. The origiator of the strain was busted and lost all of his cuttings, years later they resurfaced in only the most esoteric gardens related to his. Before Sargamatha could get ahold of his pheno of the ATF(Anchorage Thunder Fuck), later to be called Matanuska Tundra, the valley was flooded with everyone claiming "thier" plant is the Heirloom MTF. Never the less, the MTF has a unique trait that dtands out amongst her imposters. She produces huge calyxes even in the the vegitative stage and it produces a unique citrus aroma that is very distinguished.

If your around Seattle, Alaskan Thunder Fuck cutting can be obtained. I just burned through the last of mine at 2013 HempFest

This is entirely speculative but...Grimm Brothers had a MTF line and they are rumored to be back, maybe it will re-appear....

I have also heard it being referred to as Tang, either the cut itself or the mother line.

I would love to get a real deal cut but I'm not sure it's still around because no one I know sells it.

I got some supposed MTF about 4 years ago from a guy who had been growing her since the 80's. It was very sativa dominant and was a monster to contain. However, the smoke was lackluster and nothing like the MTF I smoked as a kid in

I would love to get a real deal cut but I'm not sure it's still around because no one I know sells it.

I have yet to find the MTF strain that my college buddy used to get from Fairbanks every quarter in 90'. I have looked for ages. Nothing comes close to the purplish velvet original; it may have been outdoor as the buds were always covered with close guard leaves that were drenched in frost. Very stinky, utterly distinctive.

I don't think I'm alone when I say that the ATF sold by the Dutch seed companies in 90's and found in crosses today are not the MTF, which as legend goes was held by the Hell's Angels and one grower who was busted in the late 80's that had his plants destroyed.
Anything found today is probably the result of some bagseed MTF.

From Peters Creek and I agree. It is a fool's errand at this point if you are not somewhere in the NW or actually know somebody from the Mat-Su.

This is because after Irwin's interview with High Times EVERY premium strain coming out of Mat-su valley was being called MTF then Irwins friend gave the true MTF cut to the Hells Angels when the state started to crack down down on marijuana due to Irwins loop hole. This makes it hard to identify the original. The cut is most likley In some old hippie's grow room. I had a cut from Irwin until 2005 when my OP was busted. We have been searching Mat-Su for Irwins MTF since.

I live in the Susitna Valley and have had a few local versions: Montana Creek Thunderfuck, Caswell Thunderfuck, Talkeetna Thunderfuck - all gimmicky names in my opinion.
I got my supposed cut through a bro from an older gentleman up in Sutton.
She had some special nutrient needs and came with some HA spidermites!
It was unlike any commercial strains I've ever grown but it lacked the potency I remembered as a teen and I had to let her go.
