Day #1 of Flower.
Plants just came from 6" Potts to 5gall buckets less then 2 weeks ago.
Plants:
- x4 Kings Kush
- x2 SFV-OG
- x1 Sensi-Star
- x1 Snow Dawg
- x1 Bubba Kush Pre-"98"
- x3 Chem Dawg #4

Nutes: TechNaFlora w/ supplementals by Microbe Life

Medium: 60% Biotanicare Aeration / 40% FoxFarms CoCo-LoCo

Potts: x9 , 5 gall , x3 , 7 gall

Co2: yes

Area: 10'x4'x32"

They also have the veg ones in a 24" wide option too.

This is what I was thinking to see how they stack up in veg vs my Quantum Bad Boy T5.....?

I'll be sharing my veg results here w/ them so I'll lyk. From what I here they are comparable @ only 100w. We'll see.

Lol! Like 3 months in 6" Potts. They grew into the 5's fast once In the light.
They had a rough veg.

Thanks bro keep me posted. Is there a 6500K option for the horizon lights? Also each over head horizon is one strip or multiples?

Just looking for more info and I'm sure I'm not the only one who is curious.

They are 56k but after the silicone layer applied to protect the diodes from water, the cct is 6k. Perfect IMO.
Same thing w/ the other k temps. My new 27k blades are actually 29.79k, close to 3k.
Doug sent me the actual cct measured by his passport meter on all my lights.
The cool part is that the silicone adds a lil blue w/o sacrificing red.
56K is the best k-temp for veg because it has enough red to promote root development & in this case enough blue to keep em stout.
55K is like the sun in spring.
They have multiple strips running around 12.5-15w each. Super bright for 100w.
The use top-bin Cree diodes w/ MeanWell drivers.
Can't wait to get the veg room painted n get em hung this week.
I'm getting a few 27k Horizons for side-lighting after harvest.
Oh, you should decorate that massive sativa you got as the X-Mass tree. She's a beast!

So how many strips makes up the one horizon light unit? I'm with you on the veg spectrum and I favor my 6500K T5 bulbs second to a Blue MH from Hortilux so wondering how the Suncloak would do.

I always run Auto's in my veg tent so I need more power for my veg setup than most people do. For just vegging plants it doesn't take a lot of light, but to flower it's different (we all know that). I have a strain that is great on my nerve pain and it's an auto so I run it constantly for my head stash. I requested they make it in regs and they're considering it for next year because the demand is there. We will see fingers crossed.

Thinking about getting a 24" Cloak for veg to go with the veg horizons. Maybe I'm going overboard but the growth results are out of this world. Naw, that is overboard. Guess I'm just addicted to buying these things. Haha!
Messing around last night I put a 2 bulb 3k t-5 & 32w a bulb up over a section. What a waste.
One strip (12.5-15w) of the LEDs is brighter by far. It's like nothing's there w/ the t-8. Taking it down & will replace it w/ a HomeDepot led or probably just use the lil spot lights like last time. The other section using the 27k verticals has x4 pretty poisoned plants in it. x3 Chem-D #4's & a Snow Dawg. I hurt them pretty bad w/ the new Microbe life nute. Stupid. So bad, there's even splits in the stems like they just burst open. I should really just toss them & replace them but I can never bring myself to kill a plant.
