You are excited about the possibilities of scientific and technological advancement -- mankind is going to the stars woo-hoo. In today's world that's called science fiction. Yet you deny real science is forecasting some really tough times ahead because we aren't getting our act together to cut carbon emissions.

A science denier in 2016 is excited about technological advancement hundreds of years from now. Go figure.
