20 years since I last grew, Figured I would test out a couple of autos while getting everything setup and built.
@robincnn would know.whats the max heat watts those heatsinks will take passive?
Good luck, hope you have better luck with auto's than i did, I could never get them to yield much more than a few ounces.20 years since I last grew, Figured I would test out a couple of autos while getting everything setup and built.
without airflow max 1050mA so around 115-120 wattswhats the max heat watts those heatsinks will take passive?
I started with autos 4 years ago after a 20 plus year weed hiatus. I had kids and responsibilities. I ditched the kids and went to photos. Still married after 40 plus years though.20 years since I last grew, Figured I would test out a couple of autos while getting everything setup and built.
Keep us updated with the autos, interested in how much they yeld.Just some more pics of the little autos. They are lowryders and I'm not expecting a great deal out of them. The smaller one on the left I popped first but needed a lot of care to sprout. You can see the leaves praying to the light "they never did this with the Mars"
The 120 usb fan is just to give the plants some air movement outside of the intake. I did get a small heater to place in the closet where the grow tent is. I have it hooked up to a Johnson controller with the probe inside the tent, I can dial in the temps now.
Due to the light the color is off on the camera. I may have to play around with the settings.
@pop22 right on ! I placed a decent order with Nirvana just to get me started. The autos were a "what the hell" in the order just so I could get something going while building out my grow area and dialing it in. I have Papaya , Mango skunk, White widow, AK-48 on deck "fem photo period". More than likely grow one plant at a time, maybe clone to keep a good pheno going. My usage is less than 1/4 a month as it helps me tone down the pills I take. One good harvest and I could shut down for a few months lol. I plan on starting my vegies for the deck and maybe cloning/starting a few bushes/shrubs/flowers that have good genetics I like for planting. Its not so bad since the meter isn't spinning off the wall .
I would think two boards end to end could simulate a t5 setup good for vegnow that cvost is going down and efficiency is going up, I think I'm ready to do a veggie or two indoors Going to see how just one Quantum board does for a small strain of tomato, Indigo Rose.
I use it for pain and my lady has MS. I've been making coconut canna oil for three years for capsules
Meanwell 480 or two 240'sI was wondering if 4 of those boards could take on a 1000 Watt HPS. I am guessing you may need 6 boards.
6 x $75 + $15 for heat sink board = $540
Aluminum frame? $30?
Driver or drivers???
Something like this for $103? I wonder if any of our vendor advertisers sells these/Meanwell 480 or two 240's
Board voltage is over 100 so constant current driver is needed. 2 HLG 240H C2100s on 4 boards actively cooled does rather well and does seem to give similar par levels to a 1000 HPS. Final wattage draw being 580-600 watts.Something like this for $103? I wonder if any of our vendor advertisers sells these/

I am thinking 4 of these in a frame might equal a 1000 watt HPS. Timber's COB framework kits are pretty close in price when all is said and done.
