Is this a good idea?

I was just wondering if this would be worth doing, if it would make alot of colas , i just finished taping the leaves to the bucket so all the shootd can get light. I counted 15 small shoots that are getting a decent amount of light after i bent the main tops over, i already had 5 main tops.

No this is not a bad idea it is a bad way to do it. What you are doing is called low stress training and many growers do it but not with tape. Use plant wire which is basically a spool of wire coted in plastic kinda like a bread tie that you cut to the desired length. You can pick this stuff up at just about any hardware store. Tie the wire around the plant and then tape the wire to the bucket. Or you can top your plant if you wish to create more growth. Toping is when you cut the tops off of your plant, when it regrows it will shoot two new tops from the cut area. There is many good videos on YouTube that will explain all of this much better just search LST cannabis or topping cannabis and a ton of videos will pop up explaining these growing techniques.

I know all of that ahah, i topped it about 3-4 times in total , and lst'd it with tape before, just wondering why you think tape is a bad idea? I know it damages the leaf , but oh well its one leaf

Good point I just don’t like to damage the plants if I dont have to. Again im not trying to talk to you like your are a dumb dumb, no disrespect here, but like I stated in the other thread you never know how much of a noob you will run into in the noob zone lol.

I knew a guy that tried to LST like that and the leaf he had the tape on was pulled off of the stem just by the growth of the plant. It just isn't a good method for lst. Just use something that you can control the growth stems with like plant wire. I've even seen zip strips used effectively.

I use electric tape and I bend my stem to about a 90 degree angle maybe a bit more, each top I did this on I got over 3 new tops, this is great for in flower, as Opposed to topping essentially taking bud away from your plant
