Since WW2, we've been fighting against another Hitler and we let this one walk right in our door..note to Hamilton: your fail safe with the EC didn't work..

Can't we start a petition to stop the inauguration?

Obama needs to do something..He can't go and leave us this way..this is all wrong.

Wait, one time I asked you if there was no government, how would we have a space program (and all the benefits that come with it) and you told me it would be privatised

Now you're using the argument that if the government didn't seize money from people, nuclear weapons probably wouldn't exist because they couldn't pay for them. But what's stopping a private company from stepping up to do just that? Isn't that how those problems get solved in a libertarian world?

"The Obama administration has requested large increases for nuclear weapons programs at the Defense and Energy Departments to sustain and modernize the arsenal. Indeed, current and proposed spending levels for many key efforts currently exceed what the administration originally advertised early in its first term."

I don't know how many nuclear weapons would exist in the absence of government forcing people to pay for them, that's why I asked what someone else thought.

I didn't say nuclear weapons would or wouldn't exist, you remanufactured my question into a statement.

I do believe that government has been the only ones to use nuclear weapons though...which is not surprising given it's nature.

Problems in a libertarian world get solved by first determining the nature of the harm and then finding ways to make the victim whole again.

Also, I'm not really a political Libertarian, I'm more of a philosophical "libertarian" (small ell) .

The one thing that stops your utopian world are humans. If you get rid of humans then your world just might work. but then no people, so never mind.

Did your mom and dad go to public schooling ?
