UV?

Which emits more UV light--metal halide or high pressure sodium lights? Would either emit enough light to damage(tan?) the skin of a person/animal?

Actually the heat from the bulb will keep you at a safe enough distance for what it emits. But said peeps have to walk that line for safety, your screwed every way if you don't. What im trying 1 week of 12/12 so far is a reptile bulb that emits uvb. I use a 54wT5ho 10.0 in each HO ballast of 8 bulbs and sidelight two same size clones. Mind you I'm trying for the first time to but I believe if plants adapted to highCO2 way back and are stimulated then some intrinsic factor should apply to protecting the leaves and plant tissue with bigger doses occurring today. Idk I spend money to try things and improvise. I'm watching all the visible exudate closely with a scope for visual changes of any kind. It hangs roughly 10" away and those 8 bulbs need cooling . I have a 600w hps overhead and a thouie vert 4' away

Those albino tops are the result of bleaching. Too much light has destroyed the chlorophyll and discolored the tops.

You won't get higher potency from those. I guess it's a joke someone made years ago and now it keeps going around like some sort of highly sought after thing. In reality it's bullshit.

You don't half talk some crap, if that was the result of too much light then why haven't the leaves bleached as well you fricking numbnuts...

In reality the only bulshitter here is you trying to pass off your crap assumption as fact:lol::lol::lol:

Wow, just wow. Maybe read up on the topic of bleaching? Did you perhaps notice the leaves in the tops. Do they look green or white? White huh? Hmmmmm could they also be bleached maybe?

Maybe the difference is that when UV is used it is actually resin produced and when it is cause by LED "Bleaching" it is just dead tissue?

There you go with your research jargon of read it up, I will do you one better because I have Actually witnessed it in Actual grows.

Did you notice the plant is at the end of flower tell me something what happens to nitrogen deficent leaves at the end of flowering do they not in fact look exactly like the ones in pics above?

Also tell me if it is bleaching alone then why are the leaves structurally in tact with no signs of burning as would be the case with too much light?

The pics below clearly show what the onset of bleaching looks like, note the uneveness of the discolouration and how pronounced it is as opposed to pic above where the leaves are uniformally discoloured, and only lightly so and this is exactly what I mean about you lacking the ability to correctly interpret what you are seeing/reading!

Albino Mj is the result of a Genectic mutatuion known as Variegation

To quote;

"Botanists and other experts from the plant world arrived and cleared up all possible doubts: “It's called ‘variegation’ and is probably one of the most striking mutations that can be witnessed in the cannabis world.” This anomaly occurs when the genes that control the production of chlorophyll are not expressed correctly, giving rise to plants with albino characteristics.

When this mutation takes place there appear plants that are totally white, or with incredible patterns, coloured or colourless. It all depends on the cause of the albinism: if it is due to a double albino gene the whole plant is white. If it comes from a malfunction of the genes that regulate chlorophyll production, it will feature patterns or areas as white as snow."

The plant above is clearly an albino type and if you were half the expert you pretend to be, then you would have realized this Fact!

The leaves in that picture are discolored because those leaf tips are just as close to the light as the bleached top itself is. A proper cannabis grower will have plants producing tops that stick out well above the fan leaves. As in those other pictures. So yes, then you won't get bleached leaves. Other than the bleached sugar leaves which clearly are visible.

Here you go, my actual experience.
Albino_HPS.jpg

One top which grew too close to the light. To top it off, the "genetic albino variation" went away after I increased the distance between lamp and top. Magical ...

Or the link to "your own" photos:
https://magazine.grasscity.com/light-burn-on-marijuana-plants-2117/
"When growers say a marijuana plant with light burn is “white cannabis” or “albino cannabis” this is not a good thing. Your plant turning white just means that it is in bad shape, which is the last thing you want to happen."

BTW For all the people who believe the "hash top" click bait story and that it's something cool and special, I have a bridge to sell. It's really sturdy and in a very good location right over a river. Please only serious offers.
