What you dont believe me? lol Look it up yourself. I gave ya the link.Where did you get that info on Budmaster UK being a rebrander ?
Osram LEDs are German. No, not that I dont believe you, its just when you check Budmaster UK site, there is all these "UK made this, UK made that" talk about. One would think its all made in house. Thats rather misleading to be honest.
Budmaster made by these guys:
https://sanxinbao.en.alibaba.com/productlist.html aka Evergrow
Discontinued COB manufacturing, I confirmed this about a week ago, "budmaster UK" the reseller/rebrander obviously still has stock.
I have two of the Monster series and they work fine, as always it comes down to watts and the old 3 watt panels are not the way to go these days (unless you get a good price like $1/watt or less).
They have a new series called Saga , which combines 3 and 5 watt diodes with some additional whites.
Budmaster for some reason is not carrying the Saga line from Evergrow.
They seem to have stopped making COB lights due to lack of demand (presumably they mean in Europe).
Diodes/chips and the driver are pretty much the only things that matter any way. That is actually not true.. when Budmaster originally came out years ago, they were made in China but now Budmaster products are made in the UK, by UK companies. Not rebranded and everything now is designed by budmaster and sourced locally. (except the drivers which are outsourced) and obviously the diodes/chips are purchased from manufacture.
They didn't stop making COB lights, but they did switch from using citiled to now using a MCOB design using small Osram SMD COBs.

Yes those are good and at that price they are a real bargin, best price I have seen them go for.I might have another look into 1212s. Are these good ?

I really dont know much about 1212s as I have been reading mostly applies to 3590
Just curious, but what does any of that have to do with being made in the UK?Diodes/chips and the driver are pretty much the only things that matter any way.
And the heatsink on that thing isn't anything special either.
Also it's a shame they don't give their total light output numbers.
Instead we only get PPFD (no PPF or PAR watt)
The PPFD on those panels is clearly going to be inflated because they all have lenses which gives higher peak PPFD ratings, but the surrounding areas will have lower PPFD ratings.
A CXB3590 panel is more efficient.
A v7 Vero 29 panel is more efficient
Current gen citiled panel will be more efficient. (Budmaster used a previous gen Citiled cob in their older cob panels)
Those quantum boards are also more efficient.
Also they don't tell what bin they're using, besides the fact that the SSL80 diodes in their HPS panels are driven at 600mA while they're binned at 300-350mA. (overdriven)
Just out of curiosity I checked that alibaba link but the lights for sale on that page don't look like any of the ones on bud masters site not as far as I can tell anywaysBudmaster made by these guys:

The Budmaster PCB's are made my Marl, which is in the UK..The alibaba web store isnt helping me and the evergrow main site doesnt show all the products, so my apologies for not providing specific links. I am not shilling for anyone or bashing anyone. As I said I have two evergrow lights, older tech, but I am happy with them; what they refer to as the Nova S2 or Monster series, which is the same thing as the Budmaster XG/HPS/GOD series. You can order whatever spectrum selection you want , 25 diode unmountable modules, they have something like 14+ diodes to choose from last I asked (couple years now), you can get your name stamped in the housing, select different finishes etc. etc.

look familiar?
Of course anyone is capable of contacting Evergrow and asking them if they have a distributor in the UK. If they say no then I guess they have been lying to me and if thats the case then I never mention their name in public again and dox their pricing. My guess is if you are in the UK and try to buy from Evergrow they will refer you to budmaster, they seem super paranoid about protecting their distributors.
Also, budmaster has been around for like what 3 years so lets not talk about them like they are some institution. Does anyone really think that there is some magical manufacturing facility at the address Budmaster lists? The only being created out there is sheep. Maybe go tour their factory?
Come on guys the best you can hope for is "assembled in the UK", did they customize the spectrum, yes, did they customize the housing, yes, did they actually fabricate anything in the UK, sorry no. Are all their products currently from Evergrow, I dont know. Lets call them what they are "value added reseller" , and I have no problem with that , I have no problem with budmaster in general, although their marketing is a bit cheesy, I mean "high pressure sunlight", come on, thats just friggin goofy seo BS. Again, believe nothing, verify yourself.
