Hey Tim. Nice to see, everthing on track. Sip related question: are you putting nutes in your sip res for flower? How is that working out for you? Was lead to believe its a big no-no as you could get al sorts of stuff growing there, but if its working out i cant really see any more downsides to the sips

some of us have been putting nutes in the res just fine,, hasnt caused any issues with mine ,, the one i use is the earthbox ,, and like the octopot there is no air stones,, some people put them in later,, i did not,,, I have been adding cal mag , every watering now, and a few times I did ad some organic big bloom liquid to the res,, but the plants got over fert,, N hook and some yellowing from tox ,, i stopped adding the liquid nutes and stayed with just water and cal mag and everything is peachy,, My soil mix is pretty hot,, lots of no till goodies, so i wasnt surprised that it should be just water only,, and its water only for the next couple of weeks

Ya you know,, with no pumps, no air pumps,, no water ph'ing, no tdds checking, no nute mixing,, just 2 teaspoons cal mag to my water jug,, ,, pour water down the fill pipe til it comes out the over flow hole, and thats it,, close the door
its by far the easiest grow i have ever done,, I will use this sip and these cobs from now until i die,, I am a sucker for easy,, I gravitate towards it,, but shoot man,, look at whats going on in there,, its going to surpass my last grow,, and what makes me more happy is look at all that butter material,, the sugar leafs are everwhere,, butter and edibles,, oh yes

You have the right idea. Occasionally I do something and I have no idea if its actually doing any good, an example being my UV reptile lights. I've never done a real test with the same strain, one with the light, one without... but now I own them so I keep using them.

Air stones in the res are probably unnecessary for most people, but they make a difference in my SIPs. I'm the only person I've read about on here whose water gets cloudy if they don't use air stones. If all is well without them, then why bother? I wouldn't use them if I didn't need them.

I did a few for veggies last summer and thinking of mj this year, but nor indoor nor outdoor is perfect for me. Living in a flat with neighbours which i hope to convince to let me have the roof top for terrace/garden but i doubt making my own private Jamaica will make it easier...

I have a few other possibilities at friends so i might go for that. Also getting all those buildasoil amendments are almost impossible in spain. Decisions...

All in all, very impressed with the simplicity u got going. Any yield estimates? I know a lot of people dont worry about that kinda stuff so ill happily take ur pass if this is mostly for own smoke and enjoyment of gardening.

I see more overall bud in the box this grow than last, not sure if i see more cola tops or not,, many months since my last grow and time has a way of making me forget things
BUT, i will gladly post up some pictures of then hanging,/. drying/ and then onto scales,, I will try to divide the weed into groups,, like, good tops , larf/popcorn. and sugar trim, with weights on each,, i never set out to surpass anything, I grow for myself, and I smoke alone,, so whats in this box will last me more than 1 year,, shoot i still have jars and jars of my last 2 grows,

I wouldn't worry too much about it. With the best quality indoor plant soil that you get at your local garden center and some decent time release dry fertilizer, you can grow some really great bud pretty easily. The only other things I add are worm castings and compost tea. I'm not breaking any records, but I've grown some decent weed with a pretty simple set up.

Oh, and obviously good genetics! Every time I grow different strains in my tent, at the end of the run I add up what my yield would be if they had all been the top producer vs. what it would be if they were all the lowest producer. The difference can be huge, often more than twice as much. Of course yield and quality are not synonymous...

strange how each grow is differant,, none of mine have been the same,, granted differant strains,, but just the layout of the plants, its like they do thier own thing in so many ways,,

agree with Rob, just get the best dirt you can find , amend it , surely they sale worm castings in your part of the world,, common, also any organic fert you can get your hands on,, just read the bags,, get as close to natural as you can,, and just water it,, lol

@Humanrob you grow so come dope my friend, everytime i get out one of your nugs i am greeted with joyful meds,, keep doing what your doing , its wierd buddy , my chernobyl was so strong in the early going,, and headband was so weak and lanky,, now towards the end of the run,, headband is out doing chernobyl easy,, will probably get 2 times more weight out of headband, i would have predicted the other way around in the beginning,, so much so i had wished i bought 2 chernoblys,, but now,, strange how it goes

Hey bud,, my wife and i went to spain on our honey moon, spent 2 weeks there,, went to many cities, mostly madrid,, had an amzing time,, love your country and its people were the best I ever met,,, ,I am still hooked on Gazpacho to this day,, i can pass on the rice dish with the fish eyes looking at me ,, hahaha,,, I liked how they hung meat in the windows ,, trying to impress people,, they sure dont do that here in the states,,, also back then there was no liquid milk in the stores, it was all dehydrated,, and Mcdonalds did not put any lettuce or pickles on the sandwhiches,,, the spanish said we put " salad" on our burgers

Thanks Tim, we just keep learning. I've had a couple of plants that I read great things about that just didn't produce for me -- before it was Green Crack, this time its the Cinex. I'm glad my Jack Herer is putting out, otherwise this whole run would be underwhelming.

And @Rocket Soul -- Tim added something important when he said organic fertilizer, I think it definitely makes a difference. And when I was in Spain in... god, let me do the math... 1980 (I was 15) I ordered a "hamburger" in a restaurant and got a patty of diced up ham on a bun. Something was lost in translation, but it was a lesson in disguise.

Im glad both of you got the hang of what makes this one of the best places to live: its bizarre absurd and surreal most of the time here but people have that unpretentious look on life that makes you wanna laugh most of the time. If you come around Barcelona hit me up for cañas and tapas. Glad to hear you like this part of the world. Been here for 13 years now and im not changing it for anythimg

If worse come to worse ill just have to make my own f**kin crabmeal.
